With a 360-degree camera, all directions are captured, including the photographer. There are methods to avoid the photographer from appearing in the shot, such as using a timer or remote control and hiding during the shot, but there may be situations where you cannot move away from the camera or there is nowhere to hide. There are 360-degree cameras with a function to erase the photographer, but this requires switching shooting modes and taking the shot twice, which can be cumbersome. 360hideMe can load images shot twice with your usual shooting app and erase the photographer.

The method of shooting 360-degree images suitable for erasing the photographer with 360hideMe is simple.

・How to shoot 360-degree images to apply
Fix the 360-degree camera in place or secure it with a tripod. If you do not move the 360-degree camera during the two shots, the result will be clean. The photographer should move to different positions for each of the two shots so they do not overlap.

360hideMe merges parts of two 360-degree images where the photographer is not visible.

The conditions for the photos to be merged are as follows:
・Same size with an aspect ratio of 1:2
・File format is JPEG or PNG
Both are standard for 360-degree cameras. You should be fine with normal shooting. From the two 360-degree images, an image is created using the built-in mask.

・Considerations for a cleaner finish
Shoot two shots without changing the camera settings so that the overall brightness and color tone are the same.

・App features
The composite to erase the photographer can be adjusted automatically with face recognition and manually with a slider. Areas outside the composite range can be displayed in black and white, making it easier to check the effect of the mask. You can select multiple masks and the gradient at the edge of the mask. A semi-transparent mask has the effect of leaving it semi-transparent without erasing it.

・How to use the app
Tap the button in the center of the bottom of the screen to select photos from the album. Select two 360-degree photos. The merged 360-degree image will be displayed. You can adjust the effect with the controls lined up on top of the 360-degree image. Left end: Automatic adjustment by face recognition. Center slider: Adjustment of mask position movement. Right end: Swap the order of the loaded 360-degree images. With the three buttons at the bottom right, you can move the edges of the 360-degree image stitching. Save the merged 360-degree image to the photo album with the button at the bottom left. If you want to change the finish of the composite range and composite edge, the mask menu will be displayed in the context menu (long press the button) at the top left.

・360 Panorama View
You can switch between the 360-degree image and 360-degree panorama view with the panorama button on the upper right side. In the state of 360-degree panorama view, you can take a snapshot with the button in the center of the top edge. It will be saved in the photo album.

・About photos that can be applied in the app
Photos with an aspect ratio of 1:2 for 360-degree images (equirectangular) and file format of JPEG or PNG can be applied. This is a standard aspect ratio and file format for general 360-degree cameras.
