Explore the world with your friends! This update lets your share your location with your friends, and you see if friends and family members are hanging out together and where they are right now!
- You will now get a push message if someone is asking to friend you.
- We’ve tweaked the text input colour for your chat messages
- You can see when your friends are online and active!
- Also, keep an eye on the different sneakers and apparel, both in the store and in your Backpack; some of them might have a new experience on them :)
Lastly, We have done a few fixes to Aglet Chat, some other bug fixes and added the inclusion of the occasional ad.

Today marks a big step in the life of Aglet and you are are the centre of it. You, right there on the Me screen.
You'll notice upgrades to the avatar and the "Wear" screen is now "Me"
Sneakerheads, don't worry - you can still get to your favourite kicks! They are not going away - we have just given you the extra power to collect and flex your whole capsule.
A few other things:
- Your shoe condition showing 99% when its not been worn at all is fixed :)
- We have fixed a few bugs with our Aglet Chat
- A number of other bugs were fumigated.
Go forth and explore. There's a whole world out there in and outside of Aglet...

- Apparel in the Shop! Yes, as we head into 2023, the Year of the Avatar for Aglet, we are releasing the next set of collectibles; apparel for your avatar! Like sneakers, you will be able to cop apparel in the shop as collectible, numbered items that have different scarcity. There's a bigger plan in play with all of this, so we recommend getting in early and copping the OG drops! Wink, wink.
- Localization! This release has support for Japanese in the app! More languages to follow, but if you have your phone set to Japanese, you will now be able to see Aglet in Japanese. If you see any weird translations or words, please let our support team know!
- Pull to refresh in the Shop! Yes, we know sometimes drops take a while to show up, so we now let you pull down on the Shop list to force a refresh. This should let you get the drop faster if it has not yet synced to your device.
- NFT sneakers can now be added to the Profile Shelf behind your avatar. A much requested fix has now been done. Flex those rare items!
- We've added a link to our Leaderboards from the menu. Check out where you rank!

By the time you read this, we might have already dropped our first Aglet One Low into the game as a real sneaker; yup, one you can actually wear on you feet in real life. If you're lucky enough to be reading this before we do the drop, GOOD LUCK - it's going to be hard to get one of the OG sneakers! If you missed out, don't worry, we have a LOT more IRL coming down the line.
When you hit the shop and try to cop an IRL, you will notice a slightly different way of purchasing and it does not involve Regular Aglet (RA) or Gold Aglet (GA) - it'll be more like what you might do on Shopify or other sneaker apps, so don't freak out when you see this! You'll also possibly get a digital twin NFT with your IRL purchase, so watch out for the drops!

OK, so we have not been idle. Yeah, it’s been a minute since we dropped the last release, and by now you’ve tried 5000 combinations of your Profile Shelf, but while you’ve been flexing your ultimate Shelf, we have been making some BIG changes under the hood. Today marks a new chapter in Aglet:
- The Explore screen has had an upgrade and it’s now the default game view.
- Your avatar is finally on the map! Begone the little blue dot, your exploration and adventure are now avatar-driven.
- You might have noticed that the treasure stashes and repair stations around you move regularly and change. Hello, new map gameplay! Check your map each day to see the new stashes around you; your Aglet world changes regularly now and there are some BIG rewards to be found. Hint: 100,000 Regular Aglet stashes are out there, waiting...
We have one more announcement with this release: Aglet has partnered with Immutable to bring Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) into the Aglet ecosystem. This means that some (but definitely not all) drops will be actual NFTs. In the coming months, you will be able to sell and trade NFTs in Aglet.
We have big plans for this, but rest assured that Aglet is not just about NFTs. The game you know and love will remain awesome, and we will carefully start to introduce NFTs as a meaningful part of the gameplay. This release marks our ability to support NFTs backed by Immutable. There will be more news from us on our NFT roadmap, so watch our channels!

OK, so we have not been idle. Yeah, it’s been a minute since we dropped the last release, and by now you’ve tried 5000 combinations of your Profile Shelf, but while you’ve been flexing your ultimate Shelf, we have been making some BIG changes under the hood. Today marks a new chapter in Aglet:
- The Explore screen has had an upgrade and it’s now the default game view.
- Your avatar is finally on the map! Begone the little blue dot, your exploration and adventure are now avatar-driven.
- You might have noticed that the treasure stashes and repair stations around you move regularly and change. Hello, new map gameplay! Check your map each day to see the new stashes around you; your Aglet world changes regularly now and there are some BIG rewards to be found. Hint: 100,000 Regular Aglet stashes are out there, waiting...
We have one more announcement with this release: Aglet has partnered with Immutable to bring Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) into the Aglet ecosystem. This means that some (but definitely not all) drops will be actual NFTs. In the coming months, you will be able to sell and trade NFTs in Aglet.
We have big plans for this, but rest assured that Aglet is not just about NFTs. The game you know and love will remain awesome, and we will carefully start to introduce NFTs as a meaningful part of the gameplay. This release marks our ability to support NFTs backed by Immutable. There will be more news from us on our NFT roadmap, so watch our channels!

Your Room, your Shelf! Time to customise!
It would be sick to display your grails, right? Well, now you can! Head to your Profile and edit your Avatar. You can showcase and position your sneakers on the shelf in your Room, and change the floor and wallpaper to add your personal style!
If you’re new to the game, enjoy setting up your avatar as a part of your experience.
We have added skirts and jackets to your wardrobe, and now you can compare your current avatar to your new selection before you save it.

Ok, there's just no other way to say this - AVATAR SYSTEM 1.0 DROP!
Yes, this version of Aglet includes the initial (and we mean initial - there is a LOT more to come here) of our avatar system! What does this mean? It means that you can now create your own Aglet avatar, mixing and match the expressions, clothing and sneakers that are in Aglet.
To get your started, we have put a few things in your wardrobe you can select from to create your digital self. Access the avatar via your Profile (the button on the bottom left of the main screen) and get mix'n 'n matching to make the perfect you. This is just the start! It's a version 1; expect a LOT more to come with your avatar. Totally new styles, apparel drops etc - we have really big plans for our avatars, so strap in and start your ride with this release.
Also, we have tweaked the Collections screen to help you find Collections you have done or need to complete.
Lastly, as always, we have squashed some bugs so you can now annoy Dave about all of the avatar things instead.

Want to know how you're tracking against yourself and the players? Well, we have the update for you!
The Aglet Morning Report is a bite sized summary of your steps against the top stepper in the game, as well as your own progress each day. You'll get the AMR 24 hours after your install the app and then it's available each day from 5am to 12pm. Yeah, it's called a "Morning Report," so if you're slacking off until 2pm, you'll miss it ;)
Sip your coffee, have a quick read of your morning report and then get stepping!
Oh, and check the little tweak we have done to your Profile... and some bug fixes
