Appetite Tamer is an app based on a psychology study done by Pin-Hao Chen, Bill Kelley, and Todd Heatherton at Dartmouth College. Their research has shown that the excercises of this application correlate with lessening ones desire for unhealthy food.
The app is composed of a health survey as well as a fun game with 3 different modes. Users receive daily reminders to play the game and take the survey. It is a simple way which research has show to improve one's eating habits.
The app was developed with support in part from the National Institute of Drug Abuse.
