All forms of violence, discrimination and harmful practices against women and girls affect both the individual and the whole society.

More than half of the world's population lives in urban areas, and the share is expected to rise to 70 percent by 2050. Growing cities can create new opportunities, but can also contribute to increased social gaps and hurt ecosystems.

Climate change is a threat to our entire civilisation. Greenhouse gas emissions mean that we risk reaching an average global warming that is over two degrees. This would have serious consequences for ecosystems, human safety, food production, water supply and health.
