AT Consideration Guide: IDEA (1997) added the requirement that each IEP team consider the need for assistive technology as part of the Consideration of Special Factors. IEP Teams must also document their consideration of assistive technology in the IEP. The consideration guide can assist school divisions in developing a process for consideration of AT in the IEP process. This app was developed in collaboration with the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE).

App has been made accessible, i.e it is compatible with iOS Voice Over feature now.
Our AIM-VA Navigator and Eligibility Apps are being retired because they are no longer needed for the AT Considerations Guide App. AEM Navigator is located on the National Center on Accessible Educational Materials (AEM.CAST.ORG) and AIM-VA Eligibility Requirements are provided by AIM-VA (AIMVA.ORG).
Other fixes: added welcome screen, fixed sorting and deleting student files, fixed opening VDOE links from the final document in iOS11 and higher, other minor improvements.

This version has been made iOS8 thru 11 compatible. It tests for AIM-VA Eligibility inside the app now. About and Legal screens have interactive logos now. About info has been updated. Other minor improvements.

Because of the Virginia Department of Education’s confidentiality requirements, the Student Name was changed to a Student ID.
Tasks and AT Services selected under “Areas” are now grouped and displayed on the forms to make it more user friendly.
Keyboard and screen movements were improved.
A “Save” and “Help” feature were added on each screen.
Highlighting/selection of the Area/Task/AT, when adding or deleting items, was fixed.
