1.4.50
2023-07-07
Version 1.4.50, Build 1, July7, 2023
This release contains new features and bug fixes:
Features:
1. The ability to generate summary reports for students has been added to the website. Multiple kinds of reports can be created, saved as pdfs and/or printed. This new feature is available by tapping the “Reports” button on your homepage on the website. More detailed information on the Report feature can be found at https://behaviorflow.org/guide/ (Search for 'reporting').
2. When collecting data for Education functions, the Type of the data point can be specified. We’ve added the ability to attach a “Subtype” to the data point as well. Subtypes can be created, edited and deleted. They are displayed on the graph for each data point where they are assigned. More detailed information on this feature can be found at https://behaviorflow.org/guide/ (Search for 'subtypes').
3. We’ve improved the notification seen when the Student is logged in on their own device for motivation functions. When a box is awarded for a Token Economy, DRO or Points function the Toolbelt will briefly pop up and the progress bar for the function is now animated to call attention to the awarded box. This will also happen when dollars are awarded in a Register function.
Bug Fixes:
1. Two changes are made to ensure that already collected session data will not be inadvertently lost. First, if you’re in an active data collection session, and have checked at least one box, and you tap outside the data collection popout window, the session will be saved as “Finish Later”. Second, if data has been collected and you press “Cancel”, a warning box will appear to remind you that the data has not been saved and asking you to confirm that you wish to cancel the session and not save the data.
2. When interval data was being collected, and boxes in the active interval session were tapped, the response of the system could be slow to fill in the tapped box. The responsiveness of the app has been improved significantly and tapped boxes are now filled in much more quickly.
3. Fixed the interval function so that the user is properly notified when 1) the app is placed in the background and another app is in use or 2) when the iPad screen is turned off by briefly tapping the power button
4. When a data collection session is completed, occasionally the newly collected session did not appear in the Data Summary Page. This has been fixed, all completed sessions are displayed in the Data Summary Page as soon as the session is completed.
5. If an education function contains multiple sets, and one of the sets contains multiple pages of data in the Data Summary Page, a crash could occur when the user opens a different set in the function with only a single page in the Data Summary Page. This has been fixed.
1.4.48
2023-05-31
Version 1.4.48, Build 1, May 31, 2023
This release contains bug fixes:
Bug Fixes:
1. When any symbol other than a closed circle is plotted on a graph, it is disconnected from the plot line, and easily distinguishable as a standalone data point.
2. Fixed an issue with the DRO Motivational Function where the fireworks reward animation did not appear when logged in as a student.
3. When a function has five or more sets and a sixth set is added, the focus on the screen is shifted to the newly added set. Previously, the newly added set was hidden behind the “Add Set” tab, and was not visible .
4. Fixed an issue where IOA was not correctly calculated for Education Functions with Subtasks or Columns added.
5. Fixed an issue on the website where multiple instances of a program instance sometimes appeared in the Student Profile page under “My Groups”
6. If a data collection session for an interval function is active, and a second data collection session is requested for that same function, a warning box appears. The second session will not be started until the first active session is completed.
7. When editing a data point, the point can be entered without needing to delete the existing value in the edit box.
1.4.47
2023-05-17
Version 1.4.47, Build 1, May 15, 2023
This release contains features and bug fixes:
Features:
1. The Data Sheet and Graph view was changed from a folder view to an inline view with all entries listed alphabetically on the left and a Data Sheet / Graph preview pane on the right. The Data Sheet /Graph can be accessed by tapping on the preview, or pressing the “Go to Data Sheet” or “Go To Graph” button on the preview. This feature allows faster and easier access to previously collected data and graphs.
Bug Fixes:
1. Updated the Website (https://app.behaviorflow.org/). Programs which have functions attached are now visible and can be edited.
2. Fixed an issue when multiple interval sessions are open for one student. Every interval session can now be accessed from either the timer alert popup or the Data Popout when the interval timer expires.
1.4.46
2023-05-02
Version 1.4.46, Build 1, May 2, 2023
This release contains bug fixes:
Bug Fixes:
1. Fixed an issue where the Data Collection page was too large and did not allow access to the Cancel/Finish Later/Enter buttons. This happened when a Data collection page was opened from the Active section of the Data Popout.
2. Added the ability to edit the name of a Points function and a Standalone Data sheet.
3. Added code to ensure that set names are unique in a specific function. This corrects an issue where some data was not seen in the Data Summary Page if two sets had the same name (data was retained and was visible in the graph).
4. Fixed an issue where a crash would occur if the Share a Copy to My Students was executed a second time.
5. Added a spinner to “My Settings / Requests” as feedback since getting request data could take a few seconds.
1.4.44
2023-05-01
Version 1.4.43, Build 1, April 26, 2023
This release contains a new feature and a bug fix:
Feature: Data Collection - Added Subtasks and Columns for Education Functions
1. Added the ability to expand data collection options with Subtasks and Columns. This gives you more complete control over how your program data is structured and collected.
a. Subtasks (or ‘vertical’ expansion) - Users can now create additional scoring rows for data collection as scorable subtasks. In other words, data collection can be expanded ‘vertically’, allowing for greater detail and precision in the scoring of each aspect of a skill. Now, in addition to being able to score items 1, 2, 3, … , a user can score items 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, … . As an example, if a student is completing an activity/picture schedule, each activity/picture in the schedule could be broken out into steps - such as 1) retrieved materials 2) completed activity 3) put materials away. Subtasks can be added for multiple items per data collection program.
b. Columns (or ‘horizontal’ expansion) - Users can now create additional scoring columns to data collection. In other words, they can expand their data collection ‘horizontally’, allowing for scoring of multiple aspects that make up a skill that is being taught. As an example, if a student is learning how to ‘have a catch’, the data collection for that program can now include 2 columns for each trial - one labeled ‘throw’, and another labeled ‘catch’. Multiple columns can be added per data collection program.
Bug Fix:
1. When timer alerts are enabled for the interval function, a notification of timer expiration will be received when the iPad screen is turned off.
1.4.42
2023-04-04
Version 1.4.42, Build 1, April 3, 2023
This release contains bug fixes:
Bug Fixes:
1. Fixed an issue where new account creation took a very long time (up to 45 seconds), or new account was not created at all
2. Fixed an issue in the Duration function. If a countdown timer was used, and the timer ran to completion, the Total Time of Observed Behaviors continued to increase.
3. Fixed an issue in the Interval function when the iPad screen was turned off. When the iPad is turned back on, the correct data collection interval will be shown. Previously, the interval being collected when the screen was turned off was displayed.
4. Fixed an issue where boxes in an Interval function were not able to be edited when the Interval data collection session ran to completion.
5. Changed the Interval Data Summary Page so that the last box of a session that runs to completion is highlighted in red when the session is opened.
6. Updated the Sets tab in all functions so that the full set name is visible in the tab.
7. When an Interval Function is created and minimized without starting the Interval timer, a message is shown asking if the user wants to navigate away without starting the session. The same message is shown for Frequency and Duration functions that are created with countdown timers.
8. Added a spinner animation to the Data Popout screen. This gives the user feedback that the user data is still loading and will complete shortly.
9. Fixed an issue where the Frequency Data collection screen would appear briefly when starting a Duration Data Collection Session.

1. Added a new design for the Data Popout feature. The Data Popout is a complete data management tool that allows each teacher to schedule and prioritize the daily collection of program data. It provides a real time view of the data that the teacher is in the process of collecting, needs to collect or has collected. This tool will greatly simplify the teachers daily classroom management.
Bug Fixes:
1. Fixed an issue where the Duration Data Collection screen would sometimes appear by mistake when an Interval session was started.
2. Fixed an issue where the IOA data column in the Data Summary Page would appear in the wrong place. This happened only when there was more than one page on the Data Summary Page.
1.4.39
2023-03-07
Version 1.4.39, Build 1, March 6, 2023

2. Fixed an issue in the Points function where an unlocked student could not award themselves a reward token.
3. Fixed an issue where the “Add New” button could not be tapped in some generations of iPad.
4. Previously, if a user left a Discrete Trial data collection session and then returned to it, the first item in the first set would be opened. Fixed this so that the user returns to the item they were on when they left the data collection session.
5. Fixed an issue in the Activity schedule edit screen so that the delete button (trash can icon) now deletes that item from the list.
1.4.38
2023-02-25
Version 1.4.38, Build 1, February 24, 2023
This release contains features and bug fixes:
Features:
1. Added the ability to plot Interobserver Agreement for Education and Observation functions, as well as stand-alone datasheets and graphs. IOA is plotted as percentage agreement, based on the type of function in which the data was collected. Primary and Secondary data points are selected from all points collected in sessions starting at the same time.
2. For Observation functions, added the ability to be able to plot collected data on a graph as either a Rate or as Total Observed Behaviors. For each function type, rate is expressed as the native rate (Frequency = observed items / minute, Duration = percentage of total time, Interval = percent of intervals with observed behavior). The Total Observed Behaviors are expressed as the native observation type (Frequency = Total observed behaviors, Duration = Total observed time, Interval = total observed intervals).
Bug Fixes:
1. When you press the shuffle button on Activity Schedule or Discrete Trial, an “Are You Sure” button pops up to confirm that the shuffle should be done.
2. When recording voice input, the voice recording is stopped when you press on either the “Recording” button or the green check button.
3. When the program library page is loading from the cloud, a spinner is now displayed as feedback that the loading is in progress.
4. When a data collection session is not completed, the status of the session is shown in red in the Data Popout window. This applies for all Education and Observation functions.
1.4.34
2023-02-05
Version 1.4.34, Build 1, February 1, 2023
This release contains features and bug fixes:
Features:
1. Updated the Notes interface to make it more readable and user friendly. Each page with notes at the bottom now includes a Note tab. The tab has two buttons. The “+” button opens a window where new notes can be added. The “^” button expands the notes window to allow more notes to be seen and scrolled through.
2. Updated the Interval function. Added the ability to track multiple behaviors in each interval. Added the ability to show a timestamp of the start time in each interval. Added audible alerts to let the user know an interval has expired and needs to be scored. All three are configurable in each interval instance.
Bug Fixes:
1. All regular data points in graphs are now plotted as closed circle “O’s” rather than as “X’s”.
2. When attaching a function to a standalone program the function should be opened in edit mode to allow it to be properly created. It was not. This has been fixed and users attaching functions to Programs imported from the Program Library can create them properly.
3. In the Activity Schedule if a timer is set, there was no audio alert when the timer expired and the Pause button did not work properly. Both are fixed. The Activity Schedule timer also now creates a timer alert when it expires so users do not need to be in the Activity Schedule window itself to see the timer expire. Users will be alerted on any screen in the app.

Features:
1. Updated the box sizes in the Interval function so that they are always large enough to be tapped easily. Previously, when an interval session included a very large number of boxes, the boxes would be made very small and could not be tapped. The boxes now have a minimum size that is tappable; they are scrolled as you move through a long interval session.
2. When editing data sheets for Education programs and stand alone data sheets, the date for which the data is being collected can be edited. This applies to both new and existing data sessions.
3. Added the ability to import Program Only Templates from the Program library. Also added the ability to add a function to the Program Only function after it has been brought into the students profile. This allows the flexibility to add any of the BehaviorFlow functions to the template as part of the students Instructional or behavior reduction program.
Bug Fixes:
1. Fixed an issue where the notes were not consistently displayed for data sheet sets and graphs. Updated notes so that all notes associated with a function set are displayed on the graph view. In the set view, only notes associated with that set are displayed.
2. Fixed an issue where the color of an imported program library icon was black and white, not the standard BehaviorFlow color.
3. Made the “Collect New Data'' button on all Data Collection screens much more visible. Moved the button to the center of the screen and added color to add more contrast.
4. Fixed an issue where data was occasionally lost when moving or copying a student from one group to another.

Features:
1. Added the ability to include ”Instructions” in Motivation functions. For Token Economies, DROs, Points, and Register functions, the teacher can enter (and edit) Instructions for the function that will appear in the teacher, assistant or parent view. The instructions provide additional helpful information about the purpose and use of the function so that those not familiar with its purpose can be better informed. The instructions do not appear when logged in as a Student.
2. In stand alone graphs, when tapping on a data point, the value of the data point is shown as well as the date and time collected, and the name of the user who collected the data point. The data point value can be edited.
3. Added the ability to explicitly list multiple generalization programming strategies in the Generalization section of the education program. Previously, only the number of selected strategies was shown. Now, in addition to seeing the number selected, the selected strategies are listed in that screen view. Also added a text box labeled “Other” to this section to allow text entries to clarify the Other generalization programming methods used.
4. In an Education program, the text of the “Success/Mastery Criterion” is changed from “Above” and “Below” to “At or Above” and “At or Below”.
5. In the Interval Observation function, when the Completed Session window appears, the user is offered the option to “See Scored Data'', meaning they can see the details of the data collected in the Interval session, not simply the summary statistics.
6. The Teacher Profile view is updated to make classroom management easier. The layout of function controls and the summary of progress on individual functions for individual students are both clearer and more intuitive.
Bug Fixes:
1. In the Interval, Frequency and Duration Observation functions, changed the title associated with the button used to Start the session from “Play” to “Start” to more accurately reflect that the session is being “Started” not played.
2. Fixed an issue in the Interval function where the entries for previously selected intervals were not toggling on and off when pressed. This meant that once the box in an interval was pressed it could not be de-selected.
3. Fixed an issue in the Duration function where the Percentage reported when a session is paused is incorrect.

This release contains new features and bug fixes:
Features:
1. Added a Reward Library to the Token Economy, DRO and Points functions. Teachers and unlocked students can now select from a list of rewards for these functions instead of a single reward. The selected reward remains the reward until another reward is selected. The teacher can also select an option to limit the number of times the reward can be earned to a single occurrence. The teacher can also manually place the reward that was limited to a single occurrence back into the list. The reward library is presented in the order of the most recently used reward first, and the list can also be shuffled in a random order.
2. Added the ability for Images and Audio files to be added to the individual list items in a Task Analysis.
Bug Fixes:
1. Fixed an issue where, for students who are members of multiple groups (classrooms), the group pulldown screen at the top of the student login page did not always show all of the groups of which the student is a member.
2. Changed the layout of the Daily Schedule function to make it more readable in both the iPad and iPhone versions of the app.
3. For motivation functions, addressed an issue where locked users were sometimes given permission to update some values in these functions. For example, locked users were incorrectly allowed to add or subtract boxes from their DROs or Token Economies.
