2.3
2018-01-18
This app has been updated by Apple to display the Apple Watch app icon.
Major changes:
- added "backward" and "forward" button for navigating "Bible Topics".
- added "Bible Passage" popover for verse reference(s) in book introductions.
- fixed crashes happened with "Sync" action selected in some conditions (This is an essential fix. Users of all pervious versions are advised to get this update).
- corrected verse reference shown on the navigation bar after triggering "Sync" action.
- corrected verse synchronisation for all special features after triggering "Sync" action.
- corrected scrolling on "Bible Passage" popover, so that verses selected from dictionary / encyclopaedia / book introduction are scrolled to visible area and highlighted properly when popover comes up.
- Selection on "Interlinear" view now brings up "non-editable" and "selectable" details of a selected Hebrew / Aramaic / Greek word.
Reminder:
- The left-to-right swiping action, "Interlinear", automatically loads the currently active Hebrew / Greek morphological data, chosen in a special feature, "Comparison & Morphology". To make use of "Interlinear" action, users have to install at least one morphological data set for Old Testament, e.g. "BHSA", and one morphological data for New Testament, e.g. "SBLGNT". There is nothing for "Interlinear" popover to show if no data is installed.
To install a morphological data set:
1) Open special feature, "Comparison & Morphology".
2) Select a data version from the menu to start an installation.
*** Please keep your screen and this app on during data installation. Data are automatically loaded when installation is completed.
*** Morphological data sets of Old Testament are different from that of New Testament. With feature "Comparison & Morphology" opened, touch an Old Testament verse in main bible view to update the list of morphological data sets for Old Testament. In the same way, touch a New Testament verse in main bible view to update the list of morphological data sets for New Testament.)

New Feature:
- “Bible Topics” - A bundle of bible topics from all five great resources listed below, with a total of 155,745 bible references indexed for topical study:
1. Hitchcock's New and Complete Analysis of the Bible
2. Nave's Topical Bible
3. Thompson Chain References
4. Torrey's New Topical Textbook
5. Topical Bible
All topics are indexed and automatically loaded with bible passages. It is a great bundle for pastors and serious bible students.
Improvements:
- The same bible note now stays in place, when a bible reference within the note is activated. In previous version, notes change when a verse reference inside a note is activated. This undesired behaviour, which prevented users from editing the same note smoothly, was removed from this update.
- Swiping actions, "Concordance", "Lexicon" and "Share", added to words shown on "Interlinear" popover.
- Swiping actions, "Sync", "Mark / Unmark" and "Share", added to verses shown on "Translation" popover.
- Whole chapter of a selected version is opened when a verse of a given version is selected on "Translation" popover.
- Verse reference is now displayed on the heading of "Interlinear" popover.
- Verse reference is now displayed on the heading of "Bible passage" popover, which appears when a verse reference in an dictionary article is activated.
Fixes:
- Fixed wrong references being opened when special feature(s) was opened and re-opened.
- Fixed all known crashes when special feature(s) was opened and re-opened.
Other changes:
Special feature, "Compare & Word Study" is renamed to "Comparison & Morphology".
Swiping action for bible verse, "Gloss", is renamed to "Interlinear".
Reminder:

New:
- A right-to-left swiping action, "Gloss", is now in place for every single bible verse. Users can use this action to get a quick review of all Hebrew / Greek words, English glosses, morphology, and translations of a chosen verse. IMPORTANT NOTE: To use this action, users have to install at least one data set for old testament / new testament (Data sets are available for installation in feature "Compare and Word Study". Simply select a version, e.g. BHSA or SBLGNT, to start the installation process.). The popover view for "Gloss" automatically loads the active chosen data set selected in feature "Compare & Word Study". If data set is not installed, the popover view for "Gloss" has nothing to show.
- A left-to-right swiping action, "Sync", is now in place for every single bible verse. Users can use to this action to synchronise both "Master Bible View" and "Special Feature View" with the same chosen verse. This is especially useful for iPhone users who want to change the verse being focused in "Special Feature View", without navigating back to "Master Bible View".
- Added a popover of bible passage when a link of verse reference in an dictionary / encyclopaedia articles is activated.
Fixes:
- Fixed errors of duplicated verses in results of searching Hebrew / Greek data. Users who experienced this issue are advised to update the app and re-install the Hebrew / Greek data sets which cause troubles.
- Fixed appearance of navigation bars in iPhone X, was under status bar in some views making buttons not responsive to touches.
- Fixed crashes happened in some devices during installation of Hebrew data module "BHSA" and Greek data module "LXX1". The files to be installed were too large for some devices to handle. The files are now optimised for the installation process without any crashes. Please be reminded to keep your screen and the app on while installing Hebrew / Greek data. The Hebrew / Greek data are automatically loaded for display when installation is finished.
Thanks for your feedbacks. You are more than welcome to email me anything about the app.
