+ Create your own Activity types and even categories!
⁃We still have all of the classics, like Mood, Food, Sleep, but now you can add new ones like Snack, Stim, Symptom, etc– whatever works for you
⁃Use the *Something Else* option on the Post an Activity screen to access all of the Activity types you don’t see, or to create a new one
⁃The Activities list will automatically to show your most commonly used options and hide those you don’t use, reducing clutter and making you more productive
⁃Filters on the Activity Timeline will update for whatever you’re recording so you can sort however you like
⁃Watch what happens when you start logging new Activity types and such, how quickly Birdhouse learns your habits & suggests common entries to you.

This is quite possibly our biggest update yet! 5 brand new things in this release...
1. Activity page for everyone!
- If you are a Lite (free) user, you now have access to the Activity page in your app. See what you’ve logged, scroll back in time to remind yourself what happened last week, search to find notes from your last doctor’s appointment, use filters to view only Sleep activities or compare Food to Meltdowns, & swipe to complete recurring items. This used to be available only to Premium users but now it’s available to everyone!
2. Food in the iPhone app
- Record what your child ate for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or snack, or simply use it to remember dietary infractions if you’re trying a new diet. All users can now post new Food items from the app. This was also previously a Birdhouse Premium feature.
3. New design
- We updated the color scheme, redesigned some pages, and otherwise made it look similar to how the Birdhouse web app looks, which we redesigned a few months ago. Have you seen it yet? Go check it out!
4. Medication management with Birdhouse Premium
- You can view, create, and edit all of your Nutrition items right in the app now, and post new Nutrition activities on the go, if you are a Birdhouse Premium user! Especially helpful when you see a new doctor, or if you’re using Birdhouse to make sure your child is getting all of his or her supplements each day. *Therapy coming soon! We’re working hard on it.
5. Sign up for Birdhouse from the app
- If you have this app but don’t yet have an account, now’s your big chance! We’ve made it possible to sign up for Birdhouse right from your iPhone. So no more excuses :-)
6. Bug fixes and general improvements

This update contains lots of small and large bug fixes, as well as behind-the-scenes improvements to prepare for the future of Birdhouse (exciting stuff in the works!)
Here’s a short list of what’s in this update:
-We fixed a login issue that gave you a never-ending loading indicator if you entered the wrong email address and password combination.
-For Birdhouse Premium families, we repaired a whole handful of bugs related to swiping recurring Nutrition and Therapy items from incomplete to complete. Now, when you swipe something complete, it’ll visually confirm with you that you completed it. No more having to go back and refresh if it got stuck— yay!
-Also for Birdhouse Premium families: we changed the way notes are displayed to make them snappier, easier to read, and thus more usable.
-Other miscellaneous bugs were cordially excommunicated.
-Overall, we updated many of the structural elements to support improvements coming down the road, which we can’t wait to share with you.

This is a glorious update;
Food tracking comes to the iPhone like never before!
Just write what was had, set the time/date, add any notes you want and... presto! Use it to look back and see what someone ate before or after something happened; good or bad, or to track when food incidents occur, like gluten infractions or the like.
We've also added Autocomplete to Food and Other, so you can post those faster and more consistently. Try it out by posting one of these and you'll see that the things you've entered before and might be what you're looking for this time will pop up for you to quick-select; the more you use it, the better it will work.
There are some other minor improvements here and there that you may or may not notice, but trust us, they're in there.

If you have a Free membership, you will still be able to post new activities via iPhone.
If you have a Premium membership, you now have full access to Birdhouse for iPhone 2.0, which includes the following added features:

- Compare and isolate activity types to find patterns and correlations, like [Show only 'Sleep' and 'Mood'], or [Show only 'Other'], or [Show only 'Meltdown', 'Poop', and 'Nutrition'].
- Search all activities to find exactly what you're looking for
- Swipe to toggle Nutrition and Therapist items to Complete or Incomplete
