Thank you for using Cascable! This update vastly expands our Sony support, adding support for a large number of new models and adding USB remote control for most existing ones. It also adds support for the OM-1, and contains a number of other improvements and fixes. Full release notes below.
==== Greatly Expanded Support for Sony Cameras ====
This update hugely expands our compatibility with Sony cameras, both by adding USB support for cameras cameras we already supported, and by adding WiFi and USB support for a large number of previously unsupported cameras.
As of version 6.2, Cascable is the most flexible tool on the market for working with your Sony camera — it supports the Smart Remote Control, Ctrl w/Smartphone, PC Remote (WiFi), and PC Remote (USB) connection methods on most Sony cameras on the market.
==== Other Camera Compatibility ====
- Added support for the OM System OM-1.
- Added support for the Nikon Z9.
==== Other Changes ====
- The “Change Exposure Setting” block in Recipes will attempt to wait until the new value is reflected by the camera before moving on. This should do nothing but make Recipes with setting changes more reliable, but if you have Recipes with very tight timings you should double-check them for correct behaviour after this update.
- The app’s settings UI has been revamped with a more modern look and feel.
==== Bug Fixes ====
- Fixed some broken layout issues in the Recipes editor.
