All Users – Car enthusiasts:
The App shows leaderboards and rankings off all partaking classes during and after our rally events. It allows App users to browse images of participating vehicles and subsequently vote on their favorite vehicle during our event’s ‘Car of the Day’ election.
Participants of CCC Rally Events:
Once subscribed to one or multiple of our rally events, users their devices get access to roadbooks of those events. At the starting grid of each of our rallies users can unlock the roadbook and start navigating the course.
The Rally App replaces the paper roadbook and gives similar navigational clues as found in its traditional paper predecessor. However the app also allows participants to complete course tasks directly within the app whilst navigating the course. The app keeps track of all participants’ score and maintains a live leaderboard during each event. The app also gives participants a progress reports and feedback on the completion of course tasks.
Using the Rally App during our events:
At our events all participating teams are comprised of a minimum of two participants. Our events are held on open roads in traffic. During our events it’s the driver’s liability to comply with local and traffic regulations. Each driver is mandated to be in possession of a driver’s license which allows him to drive it’s vehicle on open roads. Drivers are at all times responsible for their safety, the safety of their passengers and the safety of other individuals partaking in traffic. No matter what instructions or incentives received from either the app or others around him should the driver take any actions which might endanger anyone. In all instances and during all occurrences will the driver, or those involved be liable for their own actions.
The Roadbook functionally of the App is intended to be used by a passenger, during our events the so called ‘navigator’ of the team. It’s the navigator’s function to navigate the course and give directional clues to the driver. The navigator solely operates the app whilst the driver partakes in traffic. The navigator should never conduct any actions which might impede the driver’s ability to exercise his responsibilities. The navigator, at all times, solely uses the app, and enters data within the app whilst their team is partaking in traffic. Only when the driver has parked the car on a spot safe for both themselves, and others partaking in traffic, could the driver make use of the rally app.
