Other chemistry calculators make it hard to do simple things. Not ChemTrix. ChemTrix was built by chemists, for chemists. It has powerful, convenient, time-saving features that make common chemical calculations a snap.

Enter a chemical formula, and ChemTrix calculates:

- Molar mass (molecular weight)
- Exact (monoisotopic) mass
- Most probable mass
- Isotopic mass distribution
- Percentage composition by mass
- Mass-moles-molar mass relationships (including unit conversions)
- Moles-volume-concentration (molarity) relationships (including unit conversions)

ChemTrix features:

- Quick, simple, and accurate formula entry using a purpose-built keypad, including programmable buttons for even more flexibility and speed
- Natural chemical syntax, including nearly 100 pre-programmed chemical groups, such as common organic fragments and protecting groups, polyatomic ions, and ligands
- A history of all entered formulae, any of which can be incorporated as fragments into new formulae
- User-defined abbreviations for any formulae

- Support for unit conversions. Units are no longer limited to g, mol, L, and M (for mass, moles, volume, and concentration, respectively.) These units can be freely set to any combination of kilo, milli, micro, and nano orders of magnitude.

ChemTrix 1.5:

- Has been redesigned to take advantage of the larger screen of the iPhone 5 and 5th generation iPod touch.
- Features four programmable buttons (P1-P4) that may be assigned to any element or group, including formulae that the user has previously entered.
- Allows names to be assigned to formulae. For example, the abbreviation "THF" (tetrahydrofuran) might be assigned to the formula C4H8O. "THF" may then be assigned to one of the programmable buttons to make entering related formulae, like AlCl3(THF) and AlMe3(THF), quick and easy.

- Fixes an issue that could cause the app to confuse entities with the same token, e.g., the element praseodymium for the propyl group, which are both denoted by "Pr."
- Updates the periodic table with more accurate data.
- Adds useful formula-reuse functionality. Previously entered formulae can now be incorporated as fragments into the current formula, e.g., PPh3 into RuCl2(PPh3)3.
- Makes it possible for the user to delete either all formulae or a single formula from the history.
