Volume 9 in the Series: The Johns Hopkins Atlases of Pathology
AUTHORS: Lysandra Voltaggio and Elizabeth A. Montgomery
SERIES EDITORS: Toby C. Cornish, Norman J. Barker, and Ralph H. Hruban
The Johns Hopkins Atlas of Colonic Pathology is the ninth teaching app in our series from the Johns Hopkins University Department of Pathology. This app is designed to teach residents, fellows, and practicing pathologists the pathology of the colon. The atlas covers normal colon histology and many disease entities, including inflammatory disorders such as medication-associated injury, infection, and inflammatory bowel disease. Colonic polyps and neoplasms are also covered, including glandular lesions, mesenchymal tumors, and lymphomas. Neoplastic and non-neoplastic disease entities are richly illustrated with numerous high-resolution color images of gross and microscopic colonic pathology. Each image is annotated with a diagnosis, caption, and list of diagnostic features. The app also includes a flash card module that allows you to assemble decks from the image bank and subsequently view the diagnosis and caption. It also has an image-based quiz with over 30 multiple-choice questions for self-study.
