Great pictures tell stories and communicate feelings. A well chosen palette enhances those feelings and helps tell your story. We hope to provide a simple but powerful way to communicate your intent, your story. You can use ColorStream to enhance the color that you captured, then send your image to anyone you like. If you are working with any Deluxe company on a motion picture DI, send the image to your colorist.

To start using ColorStream, import images from your existing photo gallery or shoot images with your camera directly in the app. Tap an image to edit the Lift, Gamma, Gain or Saturation from the controls to your right. For finer control, double tap any color button and the entire screen will function as a work surface. Don't like your adjustments? Shake the iPad to reset your corrections.

• Import photos from your gallery, shoot with the app, or paste them from your email.
• Change lift, gamma, gain, and overall saturation to 6 digits of accuracy.
• Precise color correction using full screen mode.
• Shake and confirm to remove corrections.
• Email your images from within the app.

You can also:
• Annotate directly on your snapshots.
• Export your corrections as ASC CDL files.
• Add tags and titles to quickly sort through your project.
• Apply dozens of professional looks (iPad only).
• Preview on even more emulated displays (iPad only).

The app is free and so are the updates. We are adding curves, brightness, contrast and more. We believe a picture that is worth a thousand words has a lot of potential, have fun exploring.

So… we took a little break to work on… stuff… However, we learned very quickly that lots of you use ColorStream on your iPhone instead of your iPad, so this time we have an update for all you iPhone users out there! There’s still stuff in here for you awesome iPad users, but now you shouldn’t need to suffer too much if you use ColorStream on your iPhone ;)
• If you log in with Metatrack, you can now choose a project to connect to
• Warn users if they forbid Photo access
• Now export to messages, your library, the pasteboard, or even AirDrop
• Snapshot comments are now inline in emails
• Buttons at the bottom of the screen now highlight correctly
• Refreshed background patterns for annotating and precise color correction
• Fixed a typo when reseting colors and LUTs
• New Projects view on iPhone
• Gallery toolbar icons on iPhone now make more sense for iPhone users
• Project name now editable on iPhone (just tap it in the gallery mode to change it)
• Settings sheet moved to Projects view on iPhone
• When changing UI brightness, Settings sheet entries update accordingly
• Don’t use white alerts when shaking to reset
• Brand new color controls for Lift, Gamma, and Gain on iPhone
• Slight improvements to icon in About panel
• New icons for annotation width and color
• Annotation color panel now has 7 preset colors for quick access
• Fixed some tooltips for annotation buttons
• Toolbar button layout improvements when using iPad in portrait
• Default annotation color is now a more pleasing hue of red

Now that both iPhone and iPad work nicely, we are left with just one more…

Although it wasn’t enough last time, we are back to huff and puff and blow your apps down!
• Don’t fade the screen when choosing a filter
• Show more filters at a time
• Filter lists now load much faster
• Save annotation nibs between launches
• The option to export your snapshots without a watermark if you use a proprietary LUT (with low color resolution)
• More stable export when you are exporting a lot
• Changed the CDL file’s MIME type in emails to application/cdl+xml
• More stable rendering when dealing with crazy Gamma values
• Fixed an issue where snapshots may appear out of order
• Panels now remember if they were open, and where they are
• You can no longer drag panels off the screen
• Closing panels updates the UI accordingly
• Brand new Comments panel
• Brand new Color Graph panel
• Color Values panel can now show CDL values (tap the panel once to toggle between Lift Gamma Gain and CDL)
• Minor layout fixes with Color Values panel
• Fixed a crash hen trying to connect to Metatrack while the server is down

Still not enough? Fine, I’ll go grab my industrial app blower… just don’t complain when I “fix” some of those “bugs”.

We’ve changed so much, we’re not so sure how to tell you this, but… we’ve made ColorStream even better! In no particular order…
• New help system (Simply tap that ? icon)
• More predictable access to Metatrack
• Export correct gamma values as part of the CDL
• Updated the Credits
• Fixed a crash when you try to open or export no snapshots
• Fixed a crash when exporting a lot of snapshots with annotations
• Limit exporting to only 10 snapshots at a time
• Warn user if they didn’t set up a mail account
• Don’t include the original in the export if you unselected that option
• New edited marker for snapshots
• Minor display changes to how LUT previews are shown
• Resetting the Source and Display filters now brings them back to their defaults
• Use “Reset” instead of “Clear” when managing filters
• Easier to wipe compare across two looks
• Fix the wipe when switching snapshots
• Treat the default Source and Display filters as unedited
• Use filters when generating thumbnails
• When using bordered snapshots, they now respect their original aspect ratios in the gallery
• Renamed “Bordered Snapshots” in the settings to “Large Previews”
• Hide the tutorial when there is more than one snapshots
