Finally! Say hi to the very first version of the profile page. Click on your contact's name and find out about their decentralized social profiles (Lens & Farcaster). Let us know what you'd like to add to this page!

And also, you can now ping your Farcaster and Unstoppable friends from Converse! Type any .fc handle or any unstoppable domain, contact them and start owning your conversations with them.

Click on "New conversation" then "find people to talk to" and discover recommended contacts. If you're both Everai holders, if you transacted with each other or if you follow each other on Lens, we'll recommend you to talk to each other!

- New chat interface. We redesigned the bubbles and the text input. We were using a very standard SDK, now we have our own chat UI that's ready to welcome new ways to interact with each other.
- Easily see if a message was sent from Converse or from another XMTP app.
- ENS subdomains are now supported: click on subdomains within a chat to start a conversation.

"How can I know if I have read a message or not?" you've asked us this question so many times ... we now have an answer for you: unread messages! Let's be clear: it's a basic messaging feature and we're happy to bring it to you.
It's not the end of the road for this: in the future, we'll add chips to your app icon, you'll be able to mark messages as unread and we started working on making unread messages interoperable accross all XMTP apps.

Update on fastness and reliability. Until now, we've been displaying a loading wheel every time you open the app, even if there's actually nothing new. We're changing the paradigm: we'll now show you loading states only if there's a problem (no connexion for example). As a consequence we believe you'll have a more reassuring and smooth experience.
We're also adding messages status so that you have a confirmation each message has been sent on the network.
Finally, once you've done the update, you'll have to log in again. Sorry about it, a technical migration made it impossible for the app to keep you logged in. Log in again and you should be good to go for a while.

Introducing the "Ping me on Converse" initiative, an attempt to help you own your first conversations. Scroll until the bottom of your conversations and, if you wish, start spreading the initiative!

We now help you make the most out of Converse when you first log in to the app. In the previous version, if you never used your wallet with XMTP, you landed on a blank screen which was very boring. Now, you are prompted to say hi to our cofounder or to share your Converse link to your web3 frens, which are the easiest ways to start using the app!
