Leave Tips on your favourite content


The new Tips feature allows the publisher to define a library-wide form that users can fill out to share insights about a title. Users can submit Tips Data attached to specific content points that can be viewed and commented upon by other users (moderated). Publishers can review these tips within the Dashboard and then publish them to the user population so other users can see the insight provided by their peers.



Read Critical Bulletins added by the publisher

This feature is similar to “Tips”, but bulletins come directly from the publisher and can be marked “critical”. Critical bulletins will show as a modal alert when the book is opened, and the user must dismiss them explicitly (at least once per affected title). Useful for sharing critical information with your user base within one or more titles. Content Owners can deploy Bulletins providing timely informational updates between content versions​.



Easily leave your feedback for publishers to find

This allows the publisher to define a library-wide “feedback” form that users can fill in, within the title, and send to the publisher (via the Dashboard) notifying them of content issues, ccomments and other information specifically for the publisher to view and act on. Publishers are offered a “Kanban” board style interaction that allows them to mark feedback as complete or not.



Improved download speed

The introduction of the new download produce allows concurrent handling for titles has greatly improved Reader app performance in all things. This new approach has massive performance increases for the download of titles within the proLibro system. Addition of a new feature allowing the deletion or printing of multiple favorites and annotations at once. Optimizations have been made to the “Available titles” section of the library to minimize the amount of data pulled from the server when not necessary.

Library
- New: Open books are now restored on subsequent launch, with the user returned to the active state when the App is closed.

- New: Title meta information within the "More info" page now supports markdown (see updated Build documentation for details).
- Enhanced: Clicking the text on library tiles now opens the "more info" page when not in search mode.
- Enhanced: The brand icon on the top left of the panel now navigates to the library instead of doing nothing.
- Enhanced: Made the selection state of tiles in the mutli-title search a bit clearer. Previous animation made it seem like the tile needed to be clicked instead of showing it as "selected".

Reader Panel
- Enhanced: Reinstated a feature that properly repositions the ContextMenu as the selection changes so it doesn't block selection

- Enhanced: Fixed dialogs being hidden behind message notifications

Annotations
- New: General presentation cleanup for Annotations panels. Default Annotation colors options extended, and custom colours are now saved to the list for future reuse, and synchronized between devices.
- New: Added a basic clear function to the CogniFlow frame used by annotation and favourite previews to clear when the form is reset.
- Enhanced: Annotation and Favourite detail panels properly reset when appropriate.
- Enhanced: Added a "GoTo" button on the form toolbars of Annotation/Favourite detail views (users can still jump to the annotation from the list view)
- Enhanced: Added a padding to the Annotation Type context menu items to avoid the "crushed" look they had.
- Fix: Corrected event emission that was cascading when an annotation type was edited or deleted. All associated annotations started making calls to UC Sync needlessly.
- Fix: issue where the Annotation/Favourite form being closed could cause it to pop back open partially.
- Fix: issue where favourites could not be created
- Fix: issue where deleting a favourite/annotation/type would make the form toolbar disappear


Search
- Enhanced: When a search is not running or has returned with no results the results panel will show a placeholder "No search query" content.
- Enhanced: System Memory improvements when Search is active
- Enhanced: Search Result details can now be collapsed to show more results per page.
- Enhanced: Search Result details (collapsed vs. details and Rank vs. Reading Order) display options now persist between sessions.
- Fix: Search result 'words around results' have had the square brackets removed around the elipses.
- Fix: Search results only scrolling to the segment instead of the first result for the segment.
- Fix: Issue where search navigation could end up in a loop.
- Fix: The end of search causing the suggestions to pop up, blocking the first result

Table of Contents
- Enhanced: Aligned the ToC expanders and icons to the top line of the ToC item. This way they appear consistently when the ToC item is on multiple lines.
- Enhanced: The search filter icon has been revised. It will be clearer when it is active and won't show in the ToC toolbar unless the filter checkboxes are visible.
- Enhanced: "Toggle inputs" tooltip has been changed to a friendlier name.
- Fix: Clear all checkboxes were not clearing.

Options
- Fix: Settings window no longer cut off when the height of the app is too small.
- Fix: Reader font size has been fixed. Setting it in the options will now correctly increase or decrease the size of text.

Additional UI usability fixes.
