Welcome to our biggest Geo Touch update yet!

Geo Touch Version 1.9.4 is bursting with new content (available as in-app purchases in the free version and included in Geo Touch Full), including a much requested map of Oceania plus four new Capitals maps:

- American Capitals
- African Capitals
- Asian Capitals
- Oceanian Capitals

We’ve also filled in some overlooked content in existing maps (thank you, eagle-eyed Geo Touch fans!) and added support for iOS 12 Shortcuts, so you can quickly review your most-studied maps.

We’re excited to bring you Geo Touch 1.9, with usability improvements and increased stability on iOS9.1. Here are the highlights, starting with new content:

+ Flags of Africa
+ Spanish for Kids Preview

Spanish for Kids is one of ten new language learning apps that combine the same proven learning methods of Geo Touch with beautiful artist-drawn scenes to teach Spanish, French, German, Chinese and English.

Have you been frustrated by getting set back a few steps when you miss an answer in practice mode? Now you can choose for each incorrect answer whether to go back a few questions, to the start of the level, or not at all. (You’ll find this under Settings.)

As requested by parents of young users, the start screen now shows icons as well as words, so beginning readers can more easily play independently. We’ve also darkened the borders between states and countries so these are easier to discern, another popular request.

One more quick fix for the flag of French Guiana — stay tuned, more flags are coming soon!

Bugfixes

Flag fans, thank you for writing in! This small bugfix release corrects the issue with placing the flag of Panama. We've also tidied up our layout on iPhone6+ and made some other little improvements.

We’ve also changed up the game play a little to ensure deep learning for our most experienced users. Now, the order changes when you play a map a second time. Memorized which states we ask in which order? Time to put back on your thinking cap.

With each release, we continue to improve usability and address problems we find or that you tell us about (so please do keep the suggestions coming in: [email protected]). Fixes and enhancement in this update include:

+ Missing the last state or country in a map no longer sets you back to the beginning of the level (sorry, we know this was a bit harsh) but instead sets you just a little ways back, according to how many states or countries appear in that level.

+ Maps now show percentage complete.

+ Double tap any map to zoom in.

+ iPad users: want to silence the background music? Sound controls now appear right on the main screen.
