A big update with all 50 states of the U.S.
I’ve been working on this for quite some time and here it is! From Alabama to Wyoming, you can learn flags, capitals, areas, highest peak, maps, populations, GDP, and many more. You can even play U.S. quizzes to prove your skill, but can you win the gold trophy?
What else is new?
- The economy data has been updated to 2021 values.
- Canada and Greenland now share a land border!
- Kazakhstan renamed their capital. Again.
That’s all folks, see ya in da reviews!

A mysterious error occured in a part of an app that I haven’t touched recently and I was not able to reproduce the problem. I appologize to everyone affected by this bug and I’m thankful to all of you who sent me emails about the problem (I didn’t have time to reply).
Special thank to everyone who enabled sharing diagnostic information with app developers, because I wouldn’t be able to fix any of these recent issues without it!

Awright fowk! In this update I added all 4 constituent countries of the United Kingdom, so you can now explore England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland. Go and learn their flags, capitals, maps, population, GDP, and more. Their flags are now included in flag quizzes, so can you remember them all?
I also had to update the status of Afghanistan, since it has been overtaken by Taliban in August.
In addition, I improved few things in the UI and added ISO 3166-2 codes where applicable.

This update adds the European Union with all the data and member countries. EU is an organization like no other and in many cases it can often be directly compared to other large countries. Now you can learn everything about the European Union and its members in Statistics and Quiz. I even created a new type of quiz – can you tell which countries are the members of the EU? It’s not that easy!
I also updated the data for phone and internet usage, improved cartograms for continents (the colored maps), and added zooming buttons to the Blind Map quiz (you can still zoom by swiping one finger up or down).

This update has all the latest economic data for 2020 and population estimates for 2021.
After a significant delay, I finally changed the data sources of this app. The latest data are from the United Nations DESA, the International monetary fund, and the World Bank. With this new setup, I will be able to update data in future more reliably, so I have a good feeling about this. You can support continuous development of this app with some in-app purchases! Thanks for all your feedback!
In addition to the new data, I fixed spelling of some African capitals, I modernized contextual menus… oh and the Mount Everest in now 1 meter higher!

This is a small update with few improvements and corrections.
I updated the flag of Mauritania, lengths of German borders, and I also changed the name of Swaziland to Eswatini. Thank you for all your suggestions and feedback!
It’s 2020 and Brexit finally happened! Let’s see how it changes geopolitics in the next few years.

This update brings refreshed appearance and better compatibility with the latest iOS.
You will notice more prominent text throughout the entire app, including large titles on every screen. The existing Dark Mode has been completely reworked for integration with iOS 13, so the app will adapt to your system preference.
Due to technical complexities, the app doesn’t feature Dark Mode on iOS 12 and it doesn’t work on iOS 11 or older.
I also fixed few issues, mainly related to CSV export.

This update allows you to export all data to CSV tables, so you can run your own analysis on them.
The export is available from Statistics module and provides more than 24,000 raw values. You can open the exported CSV files in Numbers or Excel and then edit, sort, calculate or filter the values. The export is a part of the Statistics purchase, but provides a demo in the free version. Try it!
In addition, mini map was added to iPad version. Tap it to quickly open Maps app.
I also updated name of the capital of Kazakhstan, which was renamed to Nur-Sultan on 23 March 2019.
You can now support continuous development of this app. Tap the speech bubble on the main screen for more info.

Updated the name of Macedonia and the capital of Burundi.
On 12 February 2019, Republic of Macedonia changed name to Republic of North Macedonia to resolve a long-standing dispute with Greece.
In December 2018, Burundi changed its capital from Bujumbura to Gitega.
Economy data for 2018 should be available in few weeks.
You can now support continuous development of this app. Tap the speech bubble on the main screen for more info.

Updated Society section to the latest data.
Data in Society section are sourced from Social Progress Index 2018 and there are several new fields:
• How many people in each country have no access to drinking water or electricity.
• Indicator of education quality and access to information.
• How many people die per year due to air pollution.
Some other fields were removed, since they are no longer used by the SPI.
Did you notice that Swaziland changed its official name to Eswatini?
Also fixed a crash that occured in late stages of some types of quizzes. Happy playing!
5.6.3
2018-08-23
This small update brings 3 improvements:
• Region of Mexico was changed from Central America to Northern America. I was using U. N. Geoscheme, but most other sources consider Mexico a part of Northern America, so it should be more intuitive now.
• Improved several VoiceOver descriptions, in particular GMT time zone offsets.
• Fixed a crash when tapping some header separators.
5.6.2

Fixed quiz on older iOS versions.
Map of every country now tells coordinates to VoiceOver users.
