Grid Player is an Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC) App that helps people who cannot speak or who have unclear speech to communicate. Sentences that you create are spoken out loud.

Grid Player is suitable for a wide range of people with communication difficulties, including those who use symbols.

Grid Player is designed for use with Grid 3 and The Grid 2, allowing you to play your grids on iPad. If you don't have Grid 3 or The Grid 2, you can use Grid Player with four complete grid sets: Symbol Talker A, Symbol Talker B, Talking Photographs and Text Talker Phrasebook.

Please note that you need a Online Grids account to use Grid Player. You can create an account for free within the Grid Player app, or sign in to an existing account.

We have updated Grid Player to match the look and feel of iOS7

A lot of you were finding the Slide to Close function hard to operate especially after updating to IOS7. We have replaced this with a close button at the top of every grid. If you want to prevent the user from accessing this button you can use the Guided Access options (new in Accessibility Section of iOS7 settings app) or you can turn off Closeable Grids in Grid Player section of Settings App.

Some users also found Shake to Undo was clearing the sentence before it was spoken so we fixed this bug.

Grid Player can now talk in Danish in addition to all the other languages we already support Arabic, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English (UK), English (US), French, German, Greek, Italian, Norweigan, Polish, Portuguese, Spanish and Swedish.

As a thank you to all our existing and new customers, we are adding a new grid set to Grid Player: Talking Photographs. This lovely set of talking images can be used to fire your imagination for work, school or play.

The new Text Talker Phrasebook provides lots of phrases to provide fast communication for people who can read but not speak. There are also quick-response buttons on every grid for one word answers to questions.

Grid Player 1.4 now has support for the retina display, giving you sharper images on the latest iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch devices.

Grid Player 1.4 also adds support for two new languages, Arabic and Polish, bringing the total number of languages supported to 13.
