4.01
2012-08-16
New in Version 4.01:
- new Appstore Icon
- fixed an issue that may cause a crash when a dataset transfer is initiated via a push notification
New in Version 4.0:
- slice viewer for volumes
- load/save/reset support for transfer functions
- increased performance for rendering transparent geometry
- single tab in render window now hide/shows the bottom tab bar
- support for landscape orientation in the menu views
- proper display of selected secondary and primary dataset in the dataset menus

- improved interruptible rendering
- a number of new info messages (e.g. a warning when trying to open the tf editor but only meshes are rendered)
- faster dataset switching
- volume LOD parameters (e.g. low res on interaction) are now automatically disabled when geometry is rendered only
- dataset lists now also display the type (geometry or volume)
- smoother transitions from landscape to portrait and vice versa
- integrated user manual for offline reading
4.0
2012-08-07
This new version is mostly a rewrite of the core features of the application, in the process we made the new version mostly look like the old one but used the opportunity add a bunch of new features. The new design also makes many things easier so you can expect more exiting new features in the near future.
New Features:
- slice viewer for volumes
- load/save/reset support for transfer functions
- increased performance for rendering transparent geometry
- single tab in render window now hide/shows the bottom tab bar
- support for landscape orientation in the menu views
- proper display of selected secondary and primary dataset in the dataset menus
- integrated web-browser so looking at the manual does not kick you out of the app
- new high resolution icons in the tab bar
- translations (so far english and german)
- integrated user manual for offline reading
3.02
2012-06-05
this version fixes a few minor issues, it fixes scrolling in the settings for iOS 5 devices and uses a more meaningful color scheme for the bounding box.
3.0
2011-08-24
- support for server based rendering, when connected to a render server the application can generate images of much higher quality that it would be possible with client based rendering alone. To setup a render server you will have to download and install the server software on your Mac or PC. The software can be downloaded for free here http://ivda.cs.uni-saarland.de/IV3Dm
