The Mészeg Hill, which rises on the border of Pákozd, has witnessed or been the scene of several war events in the last 400 years. In 1593, Pasha Hassan's defeated Turkish army was defeated by Hungarian knights on the outskirts of the village, and on September 29, 1848, the first victorious battle of the War of Independence took place in the vicinity of Mészeg Hill. A II. in World War I, from 1944, the area housed a section of the Margaret Line. It was an important military site during the period of the People's Army, also in peacetime, as the Hungarian People's Army celebrated it here in 1951-91. between the Armed Forces Day.
