Do you like trees? Do you like parks? Well, you're in luck because this app combines them both!

Use this smartphone app from the City of Johns Creek, Georgia to help map the locations of trees in our city parks. The process of finding and mapping trees will help teach kids the power of maps and GIS (geographic information systems).

This major update includes two big things: (1) a complete refresh of the app layout which makes collecting tree locations faster and easier and (2) the ability to use your camera to identify the specific tree species you find. This new functionality is based on the top 50 tree types found in the metro-Atlanta area and as new tree photos are found, the intelligence in the app will continue to improve.
