2.3.0
2023-10-26
In this week’s release, we’re rolling out a new-look profile section.
It’s simpler, sleeker and (like Memo’d) cuts straight to the point.
We’ve also updated:
-The ‘edit profile’ screen
-The design card for saved bullets
-Empty states for lists of Memos and Collections
We’ve fixed a bug that prevented creators’ Memo lists from loading for logged-out users.
And we’re bidding farewell to multipart Memos! From now on, we’re doubling down on what makes Memo’d unique: the signature 10 bullet-point format.
From now on, all Memos must have a maximum length of 10 points.
After all, being clear and concise is fundamental to what the Memo’d experience is all about.
Check back soon for more improvements!

Two related tweaks in this week’s update:
- Previously, when a user clicked on a link from an email or on social media, it opened in web mobile instead of in the app. We’ve now fixed our deep-linking issue!
- When a link to another Memo or a profile was shared at the end of Memos, clicking it took users out of the app and into the web browser. That won’t happen any more.

Big news! Creators can now ‘lock’ Memos by putting them behind an individual paywall.
- With in-app purchases, users pay a one-time fee (between $0.99 and $4.99) to access a locked Memo.
- A new ‘Content Monetization’ section in Settings enables creators to receive payments for any Memos that users unlock.
- We’ve launched a monthly Memo-writing competition with cash prizes up for grabs. A new widget has been added to the Notable section to provide all the details.
- Also added to the Notable sections is our Leaderboard widget, which shows the top-performing creators on a weekly basis.
- For now, we’re disabling the Welcome tour for newly registered users. We want to see what happens when people explore through natural curiosity. First impressions count, after all!
Until next time… keep learning; keep sharing knowledge!
