New features in this release:
- School staff can search for classes, houses, groups and year levels in "People Search" to view lists of staff and students
- Student photos and attendance earlier in the day are displayed next to student names when marking rolls
- Caregivers and students can view a student year-to-date attendance summary
- Caregivers and teachers can record student names
- Caregivers, students and teachers can view student reports

•Ability to view all pastoral records for today, this week or this year, entered by all teachers in the pastoral history (restricted to pastoral officers)
•Fixes for formatting glitches on Attitude to Learning page, student details and rolls lists

•Attitude to Learning (ATL) reports, viewable by teachers, students and caregivers. The button will only be visible if the student has ATL report data entered.
•Learning Support notes. Available as a note type when adding a student note.
•Pastoral attachments. You can attach files to a pastoral record in the same way as for a student note.
•New edge logos
•Truancy icon. If a student has been assigned to a "Truancy" group, a red T icon is shown on their student details screen and next to their name in the search results and when marking attendance.
•Refinement of how information relating to school leavers is displayed in the app.

-Relief marking of rolls for authorized users. Search for a teacher in “People Search” and tap their name and then “Mark Rolls” to mark their rolls.
-Attach images and document files to student notes. Take a photo with your phone’s camera or pick a file from your image gallery or file storage.

-Icons next to student names for special needs, ESOL, medical conditions and student birthdays.

New Features:

•‘Student search’ has been renamed to ‘People search’ as staff can now search for staff members to view their roles and contact details. Schools using the Edge timetabling functionality will also be able to view teacher timetables. Roles can also be searched for, e.g. Relief teacher, Assessment Coordinator. When selected the staff attached to this role will then be listed to select from.
•Student timetables now show their attendance history. This is colour-coded: green = present, orange = late, red = absent, blue = unmarked. The 1-letter attendance code is also shown.
•Pastoral:
oRecords can now be added.
oTeachers can view a searchable list of all pastoral records they are associated with including pastoral rewards.
•Student notes:
oTeachers can add notes to any student and view notes they are associated with.
oAn attendance note can now be added from the marking roll screen.
•Added staff details screen

New Features:

•NCEA Results
oCaregivers and Students can view results by tapping “NCEA” from the home page. School Staff can view student results from the Student Details page
oTotal credits are displayed in summary section and results can be broken down by year/standard/completion status
oDetails for each standard can be displayed by tapping on the standard name
•Medical information is now displayed on the Student Details page
•Help information has been added to the login screen

Bug fixes and improvements:

•Fixed reported connection errors on old phones
•Improved the error checking when uploading rolls

New Features:
• School Announcements: the most recent can be viewed on the home page, earlier announcements can be viewed on the Announcements page.
o NB. these are the same announcements that are configured in Edge Desktop and show on the Dashboard page.
• High resolution student profile images. Tap the thumbnail on the student details page to view. Pinch to zoom.
• The option to refresh data has been added to the Settings page. This can be used when very recent timetable changes have invalidated rolls that have already been downloaded to the phone.

Bug fixes and improvements:
o Pull down to refresh function added to user profile and student profile screens.
o Expired attendance notes no longer shown when marking rolls.
o Unmarked rolls sorted by time of day.
o Shortcut button added to Student Search results to open Student’s Timetable.

Added new functionality to view timetable and calendar:
- Teachers and students can view their own timetables
- Teachers can view the timetable for a student from the student details page
- Caregivers can view timetables for students in their care
- Timetable can be viewed for a single day, or an entire week by holding the phone sideways
Calendar shows New Zealand public holidays
- Users can view their profile information from the settings menu
Bugfixes and improvements
- Issues with Google login have been fixed

Revised interface to enhance navigation including:
-Updated home screen giving immediate access to Attendance or Student Search.
-Previous days attendance can be accessed via a scrollable calendar.
-Unmarked roll count appears on the Home Screen.
Student Search (searches for surname and firstname)
-Phone numbers can be dialed or sent a text message by tapping the number
-Phone numbers can be copied by long pressing the number
-Emails can be created by tapping the email address
-Email addresses can be copied by long pressing the email address
-Student caregivers accessed by tapping rather than swiping left and right.
-NB. for all students to be viewed the ‘Allow teachers to view any student's summary information’ option needs to be enabled in Edge>Admin>School Settings.
