1) duty hours for all rotations, and
2) procedures by fellow and faculty
This data is automatically updated daily to help faculty determine if a nephrology fellow is being overworked and will require additional time off. This data will help fellows determine how to plan their day and time-off based on each rotation. The duty hour data will also allow Program Leadership to deploy new or re-allocate additional human resources to clinical services in •real-time•, thereby ensuring that fellows receive an educational experience that is *not* threatened by clinical service.

Fellows and Faculty will know the number and type of procedures being performed and can quickly identify any deficiencies. Program Leadership can use •real-time• procedure data to ensure that every fellow receives an equitable training experience in all ACGME-mandated procedures.

-- Goals and Objectives for all inpatient rotations and the outpatient Transplant rotation have been updated.

-- Directly Observed Evaluation tools have been added. These Evaluation tools are mandated by the ACGME and to be completed for each fellow. Faculty can complete these forms •at the point-of-care• and composite scores will be automatically calculated. These scores will be available to each fellow at the semi-annual evaluation (also an ACGME mandate).

1) Journal Watch: This feature allows the user to browse a number of IM and nephrology journals with one click. Keep abreast of the latest scientific findings in nephrology with Journal Watch. Accessible through the •Special Features• section of the •Education• tab.

2) Push notifications: Activate push notifications to receive content updates on NOD +. By activating push notifications, you will receive 1-2 notifications per •month• about educational content. Push notifications will •not• be used for a) advertisements, b) solicitations, c) donation requests.

Three (3) new customizable features to enhance the user experience

1) -- My Phone Directory: use "My Phone Directory" to create a listing of commonly used phone numbers for your hospital, office, dialysis units, and other ancillary services. These phone entries are stored to your device only and allow for 1-touch dialing to make your work flow more efficient. The best part of "My Phone Directory" is that your professional phone book is a) separate from your personal phone book and b) linked to a variety of teaching resources available on NOD +. Find "My Phone Directory" at the top-left corner of the app under the"Training" section.

2) -- My Notes: Take notes during your study using any resource within the App. These notes are stored to your device and can be edited as you add to your understanding of a topic. No need for pencil/paper as you can take notes during any lecture, store it in your App, and link it to the pertinent teaching resource. Find "My Notes" in the "Bookmark" section (top-left) of the "Education" section.

3) -- My Questions: The NOD Discussion Board has been radically re-designed to allow you to ask questions directly through the App. These questions are stored in your App for quick referencing later. Find answers to your saved questions by using "My Questions' (located in the "Bookmarks" section (top-left) of the "Education" section)
