The NMX Motion App allows photographers and filmmakers to connect to the Dynamic Perception NMX Motion Controller via Bluetooth LE and easily set up motion control time-lapse and video moves. This intuitive app uses a virtual joystick to set start and end points for 3 axis moves then program the characteristics. All settings from how long it will take to travel between the start and end points to calculated video length are available on the program setup screen. The timelapse calculator gives instant feedback, if one setting is changed all effected parameters are recalculated instantly. Users have the ability to test fire timelapse intervals and to access advanced camera timing settings. When satisfied with the motion plan the app then commands the rig to return to it's beginning position and execute the move. Once the motion is underway the app gives the user instant feedback on shots, time remaining and calculated video time for time-lapse setups. While the NMX controller is running the motion program the NMX Motion app can be closed and the mobile device can even be powered down to conserve energy during long shots. Shooters can reconnect to the NMX at any time for status updates or to pause/stop the program.

NOTE: The Bluetooth module in the NMX Controller only supports devices with Bluetooth Low Energy (also known as BTLE, Smart or 4.0). iOS devices previous to LE technology will unfortunately not be able to connect/work with the NMX Controller. The following Apple mobile devices are LE compatible: iPhone (6 Plus, 6, 5s, 5c, 5 & 4s), iPad (Air, Mini, 3rd & 4th gen), iPod touch.

-'One Touch Move' added to the motor sub-menu allows for a single tap to get the motor moving in a direction and a single tap to stop it. Helpful for isolating a single axis or for convenience if a long move is required.
-New motor and rig presets allow for precise distance/angle input or trajectory style moves.
-Save/Load/Default options in the program setup screen allows for favorite settings to be saved and loaded later
-New minimum duration calculation in Video Mode means no more hunting for the fastest duration possible
-Double tap on motor ramping keyframes allows for exact frame/time to be entered for the current active keyframe
-Toggle to lock Slide/Pan/Tilt keyframes so that they are identical
-Ability to choose between Linear, Parabolic or Inverse acceleration curves.
-New Status screen with motor ramping keyframes shown and status bar for more accurate program monitoring
-Delay timer added before Start Program for countdown to start (NMX blinks a light to let you know it's currently in countdown mode). Ability to 'Cancel' or 'Go Now' if countdown timer is active.
-New 'Keep Alive' toggle during run time allows for the program to end and the camera will continue to trigger until stopped. Helpful if extra frames are desired after the program has finished.

- New 'Motor Ramping' screen allowing for independent control over lead-in still time, acceleration period, deceleration period and lead-out still time. Get creative shots by adjusting how each axis behaves or keep it simple and completely disable all lead in and motor speed feathering.

- Bevy of adjustments to the interface; based on feedback we've created more room around buttons for ease of use and re-arranged some elements to prevent accidental unwanted button touches.

- Much improved communication error and out of range handling; the app now handles much of this under the hood but if you do experience a random communication drop the app makes reconnecting simple and convenient.

- New offline status updates; when walking out of Bluetooth range the app will let you know it's disconnected but the status screen will continue to give you updates on time remaining/shots. Once back in range tapping the 'reconnect' button will re-establish the connection and use is back to normal.

- Device naming now supported; give your NMX it a unique name to easily identify your NMX controller when your out with a group of fellow NMX shooters!

- Live Battery Voltage update; simply tap the 'settings/gear' button to get updates on voltage at the NMX to make sure your battery is still fresh.

- New 'Flip' Start and End points button; have the system start where you set the end.

- New backlash setting; get that little bit of slack out of your system gearing before the program starts.

- And last but not least a handful of minor bug reports were knocked out and long gone!
