NVConnect is designed to provide Nonviolent Communication (NVC) support at your fingertips. It supports and provides ways to practice, integrate, and deepen NVC principles – growing your capacities to shift from reaction to authentic empowered response and empathy. This comprehensive and easily interactive application also offers great diversity for engaging with your NVC practice: offering choices for starting from where you want to start (starting where you are at or with what is ‘alive’ for you) as well as options to export your process or practice sessions and expand on them, reflect on them, or journal them beyond the App.
All the NVC material was authored by New Zealand NVC facilitator Filipa Hope and her work Communication for Connection (significantly influenced by the NVC work of Dr Robert Gonzales: living-compassion.org). She donated her work for this application in support of the NVC worldwide movement. She welcomes feedback on her work at www.facebook.com/FilipaHope
NVConnect will appeal to those who are serious about deepening and integrating their NVC skills, and it can be used by those yet unfamiliar with NVC (In this case it is highly recommended to use it in conjunction with Dr Marshall Rosenberg’s book "Nonviolent Communication a Language of Life")
This application is not intended to "teach" NVC, but rather to support your practices and processes by providing a large range of easily accessible instant support. It includes the components of NVC (Observation, Feelings, Needs, Requests) and additional components of Intention, Stimulus, and Choice – all with extensive guidance.
NVConnect offers an extensive help section, reminders, and suggestions for each component - including a gift of Invitations for Intentions (to deepen your NVC practice) created by Filipa, especially for this application. Also, there are expanded feelings and needs lists, a faux feelings list, and many inspirational quotes offered throughout.
