We’ve added new words and meanings to the dictionary! From ‘superspreader’ to ‘self-isolate’ and from ‘JOMO’ to ‘Gen Z’, we’re keeping OALD as up to date as possible.
In addition, we’ve created a widget so that you can see the OALD Word of the Day on your home screen (iOS 14 and above). If you have ideas for improvements to the widget, please let us know.
And lastly, in response to your feedback we have improved the audio quality for spoken words and sentences in the app to make them as clear as possible. We hope you like this update!

Closes by itself
The app is great and I really like it. But lately it’s started closing unexpectedly by itself. I sometimes have no time to read a definition when it shuts down and I have to open it again. That would be wonderful if you could fix it.

Can’t sing into my account in the app
I purchased an access code for the app version of your dictionary on the OUP website and then I activated the code using the link you sent me in the email. Now when I get into my account on the website, it says that my license is active. However, when I try to sign into my account in the app to get access to the full dictionary, it says that I don’t have access with my Oxford ID. In short, I paid you money and I still didn’t get the product. I’ve tried to contact your support team, but they just keep sending me the same email saying that they don’t have any problems signing into my account. Well, neither do I. My problem is that when I try to sing into my account in the app, it says that I don’t have access to the app version dictionary, but on the OUP website it says that I do have an active license.

I can’t log in
Hello. I can’t log into my account. I have already paid and redeemed the code (so I have the dictionary in my list) to the access to OALD but when I try to log into my account it says that there is a connection error (server or not redeemed code). When I try ‘restore purchases’ button it just doesn’t work.

Wonderful dictionary but how to get back to the recent word
Everything is awesome but the 9th dictionary had one feature which doesn’t represent in this dictionary. I mean the feature when I can go forward and backward in a current search.

Oxford ID sign in doesn’t work
I have active subscription to OALD 10, but having singed in through your app - says that my subscription expired. So if it doesn’t support Oxford ID - just remove this misleading function from your software
