And along the way, explore the crazy plans for the Park that thankfully never came to be, the airport, the WWI battlefield, and the giant pyramid. We give you the who, what, why, where and when of the city’s best-known sights and the unfamiliar places in between. Experience the real New York, at your own pace and on your own terms.

This tour includes 11 Places to discover all south of the Reservoir. We suggest a route, but you may see as many or as few Places as you like, in whatever order you choose. At each Place, enjoy a brief introductory audio overview, and choose from a menu of deep-dives to explore in greater detail. You may enjoy your Chase in a single session or over time, whichever works best for you. If you choose to see it all, plan on spending two-to-three hours.

To obtain walking directions, your device’s Location Services/connectivity must be turned on. If you don’t need directions, no internet connectivity is required to enjoy all of the app’s rich content. Once purchased, the Chase is yours. You can use it as often as you like and share the experience with friends and family whenever you choose.

There are no in-app purchases, no advertising and we neither collect nor share your data.

This next generation of PlaceChase is just as engaging as the original but we have made it even easier to navigate and added more images of your favorite neighborhoods. The Map is now interactive and provides images of the Places you are chasing as well as their location. Of course, you still can simply navigate the Chase using the hints without the Map if your prefer the challenge. Once you have found each Place, something hidden there in plain sight will answer the second question which we've made multiple choice.
