Chess is one of those games I always wished I enjoyed, but its commitment to beauty, elegance, and perfect balance always turned me away. Really Bad Chess removes these boring restrictions and flips chess on its head.
As much as random pieces change the game in some ways, I was really surprised to notice how much the game remains the same, and how powerful some pieces are — you've never truly struggled against a pawn until you've struggled against a pawn in the back row.
For chess pros, Really Bad Chess will give you a new type of challenge — the pieces & the moves are the same, but you'll have to throw out your openings and your understanding of normal patterns of play.
For novice chess players (like most of us), Really Bad Chess greatly opens up the game. Instead of starting by studying openings, in your first games you'll get to discover the joy (and challenge!) of learning how to checkmate.
I hope you have as much fun with Really Bad Chess as much as I did making it.

Fixed the 2019 Weekly Streak Rollover Bug (Y2K19 bug)
As long as you pick up and this update this week or next week and your weekly / weekly pro streak is under 4, the game will reset your streak to the longest streak you've ever achieved + whatever you've accomplished so far in 2019.
Also, I've fixed the issues with Weekly Pro streaks not getting submitted to gamecenter.

* There is a small bug where 1v1 won't unlock after you purchase the game until you quit (double-tap home and flick the app away) and reopen the app. I'm very sorry about this. It was a lot of work to get versus in so quickly and I missed this tiny bit of QA :| The patch to fix this is waiting for review with Apple, but in the meanwhile I'm glad there is a relatively easy workaround! Thanks for bearing with me.

Game for losers?
I like your strange game. Sometimes I try to lose all my pieces before I got mated. Not so easy, as you may think. Can you do a separate tournament for that?

No triple repeat moves rule
Нет правила тройного повтора хода. Компьютер начинает ходить туда-сюда, я также. И бесконечно повторять можно один и тот же ход. Компьютер не может найти лучше хода, я тоже не хочу уступать. Завершить нельзя. Только согласие на проигрыш.
В остальном супер, но каждая 2 партия упирается именно в то, что нет хода, а компьютер тупо ходит в одно место и обратно.

Действительно плохие шахматы!
Играет не честно: при прохождении недельного испытания при шахе, не дает съесть нападающую фигуру другой, или просто закрыть короля, можно только ходить им. Ставит маты преждевременно, когда еще есть шанс отыгаться.

- repetitions of moved are not causing the draw
- no draw in case there is insufficient material on the board.
Please fix it. It’s a pity to have to surrender in 1/2-1/2 possitions

Engine is very slow
Great concept, but the bots are VERY slow. Takes them like full minute to make a move.

Был с игрой с 2015. Играл каждый день, но количество рекламы и тупая игра начала раздражать. Раньше за просмотр 1-го ролика давалось сходу 5 undos, теперь модно и 10 роликов отсмотреть и ничего не получить. Мне может и нужно то 5 отмен в месяц, но иногда надо очень, а их нет и нет, -это выбешивает страшно. Второе, что достает, он не умеет проигрывать. В обычных шахматах, повтор хода трижды это ничья, которая в игре трактуется в твою пользу. Даже при наличии других адекватных ходов, он будет тупо играть повтор, до тех пор пока ты сам не сдашься. Ну и еще есть косяки по игре. Раньше поставил бы твердую 4, сейчас ставлю два, хотя одна из моих любимых шахматных головоломок
