Good Tree institute presents Root’d in Quran
an IOS ad-free app for all ages.
This platform provides:
Color Organization for an overall understanding
Each Arabic grammar rule of the Quran is color coded and easy to understand! Colors are organized based on the main grammar modes and based on word function in the sentence.
Ease of use
Rules are organized in four main groups:
- Building blocks
- Gender and noun-number
- Special nouns and verbs & tools
- Condition in the sentence [also known as I’rab]
These groups are displayed via an interactive legend that one can view alongside the Quranic text at all times, in either a mini mode or an expanded interactive mode.
Learn at your own pace
The user has the ability to explore all rules simultaneously or a single rule at a time, or combine two or more rules to understand their connections. When all rules are highlighted, the only letters which stay in black are the root word letters, thus enhancing the user’s understanding of the root words of the Quran.
By clicking on a word of interest or on a rule in the color legend, the user can access the rule terminology in Arabic along with its English meaning. It is followed by a brief description of that rule. Users interested in more detail can dig deeper and discover the rule details, which provides the main points about that rule and examples. “Learner’s notes” are included which highlight exceptions and further details for more in depth learning.
For beginners, it is recommended to start with building blocks and explore one rule at a time then add on more once acquainted with that rule.
