Seasonal Directions app targets auditory comprehension of increasingly longer one step and multi step unrelated directions. Students will practice their listening skills with vocabulary related to seasons.
The ability to introduce background noise during listening exercises makes this an ideal app for students with auditory processing disorders.
Students will have fun following directions while identifying beautiful graphics and manipulating different objects presented in different seasons. The reward system and a fun motivational game are also included in this app.
This multi-level application offers hundreds of prerecorded directions, which vary depending on selected season, in the following activities:
One step directions
Level 1 Basic 1 step directions with one element, e.g. “Show me the fan.”
Level 2 Basic 1 step directions with concept big, small, e.g. “Touch the small leaf.”
Level 3 Basic 1 step directions with color concept, e.g. “Find the red mitten.”
Level 4 Basic 1 step directions with prepositions, e.g. “Show me the acorn above the squirrel.”
Level 5 Basic 1 step directions with numeric concept 1,2,3 e.g. “Touch three seashells.”
Level 6 Basic 1 step directions with verbs, e.g.” Show me the girl who is ice skating.”
Level 7 Basic 1 step directions with pronouns, e.g. “Show me their sled.”
Level 8 Basic 1 step directions with basic concepts, e.g. “Show me the wide kite.”
Level 9 Basic 1 step directions with negative statement, e.g. “Show me the corn that is not small.”
Level 10 Basic 1 step directions with comparatives, e.g. “Show me the smallest Frisbee.”
Multi-step directions
Level 1 2 step unrelated directions with one element, e.g. “Put the magnifying glass over the apple and spin the wheel.”
Level 2 2 step unrelated directions with two elements, e.g. “Color the long scarf and put the yellow icicle on the sled.”
Level 3 3 step unrelated directions with one element, e.g. “Put the grasshopper in the basket, water the seed and fertilize the flower.”
