You can connect to anybody you know via link or scan QR code (in the video call or in person) and start sending messages instantly - no emails, phone numbers or passwords needed.
Your profile and contacts are only stored in the app on your device - relay servers do not have access to this information.
All messages are end-to-end encrypted using open-source double-ratchet protocol; the messages are delivered via relay servers using open-source SimpleX Messaging Protocol.

Есть множество мессенджеров, но не один из существующих не даст вам полной гарантий безопасности и конфиденциальности при общении между родными, друзьями или знакомыми, пока не встретил этот продукт. Здесь не нужен телефон, не требуют электронную почту, начать общаться можно только через приглашение QR кода, есть открытый исходный код для аудита, децентрализованные серверы и возможность самому поставить такой сервер и подключаться только к нему «что в принципе я и сделал» в любом уголке мира и оставаться на связи даже в странах где присутствует жесткий цензор. Неплохая альтернатива существующим мессенджерам.
Пока что приложение на стадии разработки, поэтому встречаются периодические баги, которые не сильно мешают общему впечатлению от приложения, поскольку их довольно быстро решают. Для меня из ощутимых плюсов - открытый исходный код и минималистичный дизайн приложения.
