Besides bug fixes this version implements an improved airspace indicator and uses as a default altitude instrument the built-in pressure sensor.
Improved airspace indicator: When being close to an airspace the airspace indicator visualises already the vertical height with respect to the airspace in flying direction. In the past the vertical height was only shown when being below, in or above an airspace.
Pressure sensor used by altimeter: the built-in pressure sensor (if available) is much more reliable in determining the altitude than a GPS sensor. Therefore, the pressure sensor becomes the default setting. This default setting can of course changed in the instrument’s settings.
PS: Uploading files via FTP will not be supported anymore in the next release!

This version extends the (optional) airspaces module. Besides the visual airspace distance indicator instrument acoustic signal can now be activated to warn when entering areas around airspaces. Also when entering an airspace an acoustic signal can be activated. The closer the pilot is to an airspace the higher the signal's frequency is. If the pilot is above or under an airspace also the number of signals increase. When entering an airspace the frequency as well as the number of signals further increase.
In the default configuration acoustic signals besides when entering an airspace are deactivated!

SkyLoggerXXL becomes a universal app and can now be used on the iPhone and iPad!
When using SkyLoggerXXL on an iPhone full interaction with the Apple Watch is supported! In this case logging can be started and stopped from the Apple Watch. All major flight information are visualised on the display of the Apple Watch, like the current climb rate, ground speed, flying direction and the distance as well as the direction to next airspaces.
Furthermore, the new version supports two new external accessories:
- SkyDrop from skybean (optional) and
- Skywatch BL from JDC.
Both accessories can be connected using the Bluetooth LTE interface. Their sensors can be used for logging and data display instead of the built-in sensors.
