Spectre Bowling is the PRO SHOP APP. Manage all your clients, their spec sheets and their arsenal all on your tablet. This tablet based app is a must, offering IBPSIA standard auto-suggestions, automatic oval calculation and spec sheet history. If you drill bowling balls, you need Spectre!
Spectre Bowling has 3 main sections:
1. Bowler
- One bowler, all their technical specs in a single window
- Now your entire client list can be found in one simple-to-use app
2. Specs
- Lose the spec sheet stack!
- Now you can have a complete spec sheet history for each bowler (1 bowler to many spec sheets)
- 2 input types –
Left pane = Follow the flow
Right pane = Click and go
- Auto-Suggestions – this is where the app shines!

Spectre Bowling for iOS has just launched version 2.1. With this version, we have started from zero and rebuilt the app using a completely different framework with the same look and feel our users love from the original version. This gives users a bump in performance and gives us the developers, a wider range of possibilities for the future of Spectre. In this new version, you will also find several other enhancements listed below.
- Photos can now be taken from the devices photo gallery or file location.
- Bowler list now displays number of balls in arsenal and number of spec sheets on file.
- Bowler list is in alphabetical order by last name.
- Bowler profile, signature window for consent to save personal data on a business device
- Arsenal is now sortable by drag and dropping ball in the correct location
- Arsenal List View now allows for balls to be turned ON/OFF
- Spec sheet notes section is now a rich-text formatted window, allowing to use different font size, colors, bullets and much more in your notes to make them as obvious as possible.
- Oval calculation now takes several new settings into account. Please consult the Settings section to dial-in your oval calculation preferences.
o Vertical + Horizontal calculation
o Horizontal only calculation (Ovalmatic or Ferrari Jig)
o Option to add pitch into the oval calculation
o Option to change the +/- settings based on your drillpress

This latest release includes many improvements to the regular flow of the app, making the user experience easier and less clicks needed.
When creating a new bowler profile, the automatic creation of a blank spec sheet and ball has been removed. This created a lot of clutter and just makes more sense since there is a possibility that the number of balls or specs could be 0 to start.
Improvements on the PRO sync. If you are a PRO member, you will now notice a sync button that is permanently at the top right of all the pages.
Added “Force Sync” for PRO. In any troubleshooting case, we have added a “Force Sync” function. This does the exact same process as a Disconnect-Login. This is not a regular necessary steps, but we wanted to add it for troubleshooting purposes if needed.
Improvements to the PRO Sync process. Regular improvements based on customer feedback and continuous testing.

- Manual cuts bug has been fixed. In original version, there was a bug where you couldn’t change the V and H cuts, only one of them. This is now resolved.
- In the client list view, you can now click on the “page” icon to go directly to the last created spec sheet on file for that client.
- If your tablet or computer is in any other language that the ones supported by the software, it will now revert automatically to English by default.
- Search feature in the client list has been improved and is practically instant to load
- In the Settings, when selecting “Pitch Measurements” in “Decimal”. Both fingers and thumb are now displayed in decimal, where as before it was just the fingers. Also, the PDF printout now displays exactly like the screen.
- In the Settings, Drill Press Calibration has been revised. There were calculation errors in some cases, we have fixed the math.
- In the Settings, the new function for “Pitch Measured – Edge or Center”, we have revised the math there too.
- Backup, is no longer specific to one cloud storage service. The latest version of this now uses the machine’s file management system to allow you to now specify where you’d like to save your backup. This issue is now resolved and will allow for greater ease of troubleshooting as well.
- Spec Sheet history sorting. The list of spec sheets on file for a specific client is now sorted by Created date descending. In previous versions it was sorted by date updated which was changed every time you opened the spec sheet, making it confusing to know the visual chronological order of the list.
