Interface changes for Structure Sensor Pro

New Structure Sensor firmware 1.3.1

This app is built on the new Structure SDK 1.2 and brings the following improvements and bug fixes:

Improvements:
- Allows upgrading Structure Sensor (Mark II) to Firmware 1.2.0, which brings improved connectivity and a new dark object preset

Bug fixes:
- Structure App now displays serial number correctly
- Changing streams using the original Structure Sensor no longer causes the Structure App to crash
- Stability improvements

IMPROVEMENTS:
- Resolved crashes related to External Accessory Framework
- Fixed a bug with initCameraPose not being applied correctly
- We now stop CoreMotion events when the app backgrounds, saving battery and memory usage

DEPRECATED:
- iPad Air 2 support has been deprecated

Fixed:
- Bug causing the app to crash
- Functionality with ST02A while using iOS 14 that resulted in camera preview not behaving as expected

Structure v2.12

- Structure Sensor (Mark II) Firmware 1.0 support

- Fixed misc. crashing related to background and foreground app transitions (using Structure Sensor (Mark II) with Firmware 1.0)

- Fixed misc. crashing and failures related to starting and stopping streaming (using Structure Sensor (Mark II) with Firmware 1.0)

- Low battery notifications will now be sent during scanning (using Structure Sensor (Mark II) with Firmware 1.0)

Structure App v2.0.1

- Fixed a bug where Structure Sensor (Mark II) would either fail to stream after restarting or switching streams several times, or the frame rate would slow down every time streaming would restart.

Structure App v2.0:

- Structure App has been rebuilt from scratch for Mark II.
- You can now communicate directly with our CX team by submitting diagnostic info through this app. See what we collect and why at https://structure.io/r/diagnostic-privacy
- Structure Sensor (Mark II) can now update to firmware 0.9.9 through the app. This firmware brings about several stability improvements in conjunction with the latest Structure SDK.
- Structure App now supports both light and dark mode on iOS 13+.
- Uplink support has been removed from this version of Structure App. Uplink is still available elsewhere. See our support post for why we made this change at https://structure.io/r/uplink
- Support for updating firmware on Original Structure Sensor from v1.0.0 to v2.0.0 has been removed in this version of Structure App. If you still need this functionality for whatever reason, please reach out to our support team at [email protected]

Known Issues:

- Due to a bug in firmware version 0.9.8 on Mark II devices, the sensor may crash and run out of memory while attempting to update firmware to 0.9.9 which results in an unsuccessful update message. If you receive this message, please try the update again. This usually happens if the sensor has been connected and streaming for some time before the firmware update is started. For best results, start the firmware update process as soon as possible after plugging your sensor in to an iOS device for the first time.

Structure App 1.10.2:

- Structure App now supports Structure Sensor (Mark II). Structure Sensor (Mark II) will now connect to Skanect via Uplink.
- Structure App has now been optimized for newer iPad models (2017 and later). Please note, iPad (7th gen) support will be added in the near future.

Now with support for to Uplink to the new Skanect 1.9 (featuring 2x-resolution texturing).

If you are using Structure app with Skanect and have not updated to 1.9, please update Skanect (http://skanect.occipital.com).

This version fixes an issue that could cause crashes when starting Uplink connections.

It contains the 2.0 firmware update for the Structure Sensor, and also includes all the changes from the 1.3 version, listed below.

Here are some of the highlights of Firmware 2.0:

• Laser distortion correction is now more advanced, and depth is more smooth as a result. The new method eliminates vertical lines in depth images.¹
• Structure Sensor's depth output now dynamically changes scale when the iPad color camera refocuses.¹
• Depth frames can now synchronize to iPad Air full-resolution color frames at 24FPS.
• An internal timer that limited sensor streaming to 9 hours or less when using OpenNI2 has been fixed.
• Overall Structure Sensor reliability is improved, and many minor bugs have been squashed.

Other app improvements:

• Depth display is more crisp (2X resolution).

This version contains our first-ever firmware update for the Structure Sensor, just in time for 2015!

Here are some of the highlights of Firmware 1.1:

• The sensor now automatically charges faster when plugged into more powerful USB adapters with the USB Hacker Cable.
• The LED blinks 1-3 times to indicate charging speed when the USB Hacker Cable is plugged in.
• Battery percentage is much more accurately reported, thanks to an all-new charge estimation algorithm.
• When streaming with the USB Hacker Cable using OpenNI, depth and infrared frame timestamps are now correct.
• Overall reliability is improved.
