Strut was conceived as a game of world exploration - more about seeing and being in all corners of the world and less about tracking flight paths. In an effort to greatly improve the performance of the app as well as to begin to tailor the experience to focus more on local discovery, we are making some big changes ahead of a larger release in the future.
So…
FLYING TILES ARE NOW DISABLED
- From now on, Strutting on flights (over 200 mph or 320 km/h) will no longer add new tiles to your score. All other forms of transportation from walking to driving to sailing will still count.
YOUR TOTAL SCORE MAY GO DOWN…
- If you have used Strut while flying in the past, you will notice a decrease in your total score over the coming weeks as we remove all the flight tiles from the scores of all Strutters. If you’ve never used Strut on a plane, your score should remain the same.
BUT DON’T WORRY!
- Your flight tiles are not gone forever! We’ll save all the tiles you’ve earned up until now, so that we can add them back into your score if we decide to re-enable flying with Strut in a future update.
WE HOPE YOU UNDERSTAND
- By removing flight tiles across the board, we aim to enhance the performance and experience for all Strutters, old and new. These changes will make the app snappier, reduce load times and create a more balanced system that encourages competition on the local and global scale more equally.

Some things don’t work as good as they could
1) It would be great if the movements would be tracked even when there’s no internet connection
2) If the tiles were half transparent- it would help to understand where exactly do you need to go and if there actually is a way to your destination point through the closed tiles.

100000 strut tiles disappeared
Hello, I have been trying to contact you via your feedback email months ago, but got no reply. I got 100 000 tiles suddenly removed from my count, please count them back! How did this happen?

Единственное в своем роде приложение
Есть два варианта когда не получается синхронизировать квадраты (Pending Sync) 1. Отсутствует интернет...это лечится, при наличии интернета все прогрузится 2. Ошибка разработчиков, поможет только переустановка, но тогда пропадут все квадраты за текущие сутки и не важно сколько времени/денег(путешествия сейчас не дешевые)/усилий было затрачено. При таком сбое ни в коем случае не продолжайте открывать квадратики, а переустанавливайте приложение, я так потерял более 15000 квадратов.
О добавлении новых функций(например вращение карты) даже и мечтать не приходится, лишь бы ещё хуже не вышло(сглазил...май 2021 год после очередного слета пропала возможность листать результаты прошлых дней, доступно только tiles today) (вылечилось!)
Очень хочется совместить существующую привязку фейсбук к нововведённой учетной записи apple, а то получается что все с начала начинать(открывать квадраты) Что интересно, приложение еще существует, кол-во пользователей растет, но разработчик вообще не отвечает на письма.

How often does the sync serve turn on?

Заметила интересный факт. Синхронизация происходит, когда кол-во квадратов достигает 3 тысяч, но синхронизирует не все, а как-то кусочно. В итоге получается синхронизация доступна только в поездках в новые места, где много новых квадратов в день

Please add an offline caching for cases, when internet isn’t available. Moreover it would be great, if there is available an import of gpx from 3rd party trackers
