Here’s what our swatchbook team is giving you:

- New methods for recoloring: better control over how changes in the color palette affect the recolored swatch.
- Display applied materials (for shared variants): you can preview the roll and name of the material assigned to a selected part.
- Color wheel improvements: colors are now separated by collections, making it easier to interact with + additional minor tweaks (for a polished experience!).
- General improvements & bug fixes: the team pushed some pixels and rounded some corners. We hope you appreciate them as much as we do!

This update is awesome! Not only does it touch mix, but also includes fundamental workflow improvements to swatchbook as well. Here is what’s new:

Sharing variants
- When you create and sync those beautiful mixes with your swatchbook account, you can now share the mix variants with anyone who has a swatchbook subscription. That’s all that is needed!

Mix variant viewer
- When a variant is shared you can find them in their own area so it doesn’t interfere with the mixes you’ve created. If you don’t have mix license, you can still view the variants in all of their glory - in full 3D and AR.

View mode only
- When you have a full mix license, you can mute the authoring tools and just enjoy the views of your mixes and variants. Just press and hold the mix icon for 3 seconds until the blue circle closes, and away you go. To unlock, press and hold again.

More user interface tweaks
- UI / UX is part of swatchbook’s DNA. That’s why we never stand still, and are never satisfied. You will find lots of little tweaks to the mix application. We are certain that you will appreciate them.

You can now add color collections to your mix and use colors independently of materials! This means you can have simple color blocking OR recolor existing materials on the fly, in 3D & in AR!
- Recoloring
Our all new, powerful recoloring tools work on single and multi-color materials. Each material can be recolored using the colors in the collections you selected. And it gives you a new variant of that material which you can then share with the rest of your team or even with your supplier to have it made.
- Start with a blank canvas
You can now even start on a blank canvas! This makes mix feel like you are painting.You can still apply rules and have ML help guide on amazing undiscovered combinations, combining the best of both worlds. - manual vs machine mixing
You decide how much you want to mix yourself or let the machine help you. mix will generate an infinite number of designs on the fly as you keep scrolling through the variants.. You have to experience it to believe it.

our 1 month old mix app is growing rapidly. this build features a host of refinements and fixes but more importantly 2 large features have made it to the swatchbook platform:
- once your mixes are synced a new button to render is available. utilizing state of the art block-chain cloud based rendering that will provide 10 predefined 4K still renders in addition to a 2K turntable animation. All automated all high quality. This is in addition to the virtual bill of materials (vBOM) visible on swatchbook. (Render tokens required)
- assets are automagically prepared in the swatchbook cloud prior to mixing.
