the music is fantastic, and the visuals are pleasant and relaxing. what‘s not relaxing is the black thing that chases you if you miss any of the balls of light. (although there is a zen mode in the paid version which i do not have)
i think the game lacks an explanation of all the elements it contains. it has a basic “tutorial” of how to move and the light transforming into darkness thing but it’s barely enough to get you by
theres no explanation of how the pink comet works, and there’s not really any goal except maybe beating your high score- which i understand is part of the appeal, to just kind of relax
again though, it’s really not that relaxing because inevitably you won’t have any white comets to destroy the “darkness” and you will be consumed by the black ball- some of which have red dots (eyes?) and will definitely follow you, and some of which don’t and might not follow you. this is also not explained whatsoever
if i had to compare it to another game of a similar type, it would be Alto’s Odyssey. great music, nice visuals, not really “levels” but just seeing how far you can get. however, Alto has much more variety in scenery, elements one can interact with, and overall has a stronger feeling of purpose (while still being incredibly relaxing). i’ve played The Kreator for all of 3 days and i’m already bored, because it’s the same thing over and over and you also meet one inevitable death by the darkness.
people seem to enjoy this game and i would not suggest against downloading it but i personally will probably delete it in a week or so
