TYM-CC is the Gaeilge/Gàidhlig teacher’s assistant. With daily Gaeilge/Gàidhlig content, an innovative accessible design, and numerous ways to interact with your students, TYM helps you to develop Gaelic language skills inside and outside the classroom.

With the support of Gaelic language experts, TYM offers reliable and accurate translations into Gaeilge and Gàidhlig, helping to prepare students for their end-of-school exams and a life of language learning.

TYM focuses on the four main areas of language development:

Reading, Writing, Speaking, and Listening

With a broad range of content to suit all levels of learners, TYM helps students to develop their vocabulary, syntax, and spoken language skills. Students can share their work across a digital, Gaelic-speaking community, strengthening and promoting both Gaeilge and Gàidhlig through the app.

With three main projects to choose from and a constant stream of Gaelic-language content, learning through TYM is a great experience.

With a successful pilot programme of participating students in Scotland and Ireland, part-funded by Foras na Gaeilge and Colmcille, TYM is becoming the application of choice for Gaelic language development in the classroom.



• Develop language skills. Students improve their vocabulary through a set process; reading and listening to sample support content on the app, rewriting it in their own words, and then recording audio content. Students can then share this content through the TYM app with their peers.


• Join our digital Gaelic-language community. Share your student’s progress with other schools in Ireland and Scotland. Set up a language exchange with participating schools in Scotland and Ireland and start promoting Gaelic language use!

• TYM is effective. Our programme has glowing reviews, with teachers noting an improvement in spoken and written Gaelic as a result of using TYM. Our content is interactive, easily accessible, and focusing on developing key language skills.
