Let this app WISEN you up. (We’re going to use that pun a few more times, so hold tight)
Can you tell Helvetica apart from Arial? How about Times New Roman from Baskerville? Did you know that IKEA doesn't use Futura anymore? And that there's a difference between a 'font' and a 'typeface'?
We couldn't tell the difference and didn't know those things either! That’s why we made this app so that EVERYONE can learn more about typography.
type-WISE will help you Learn how to tell two similar typefaces apart through our very secret technology. Once you're confident, you can Play games to see how WISE (there it is again) you've become. We believe that games are the best way to drive information deep into your soul. You even get a grade, just like school.. fun!
This isn't an app that will teach you everything about fonts or typefaces. But it's a start.
We believe that typography is an important part of communication, and the better people are at communicating, the better this world could be; what part of YOUR life can be improved through better communication?
+Relationships: How come those love letters in ALL-CAPS not getting the right response?
+Business: Why is it that your Comic Sans flyers not bringing in more serious customers?
+Work: Maybe that party invite email could've used a more readable font size than 72 Pt.?

If you're probably the 1 person who reads these version notes then today I have a special surprise for just you.
Instead of telling you all the things we've done new in the app (typing words to compare and zooming into the letters in Learn, better review of your games in Play, a much better Store, blah blah..), we're going to tell you some typography jokes:
A font walks up to Gill Sans and asks: “Do you want to go out with me?”
Gill Sans says “No!”
“Why don’t you want to go out with me?” the other font asks.
Gill Sans: “Because you’re Grotesque!”
Bad? Heres another one:
What is the type designer’s favorite breakfast?
Kern flakes!
Heh. And to finish it off.. Chuck Norris:
+Chuck Norris once started designing a typeface when he was drunk. That night the “w” was born.
+Chuck Norris doesn't set type — he just throws all the letters together and expects each to know its role in his sentence.
+No flush left. Everything Chuck does is justified.
+Chuck Norris whispers in ALL-CAPS.
+Chuck Norris can tell whether the font is Arial or Helvetica — blindfolded.
