As always, we're fixing bugs, and improving the performance of our app.

* Get a quick view of the top stories by adding a widget to your phone's Today screen or main screen in iOS 15. Long-hold the screen, then tap the + icon, and search for our news app.
* Watching a video? Rotate your phone to landscape, and the video will automatically go full screen.

We fixed a bug where weather and closing alert banners were not opening the correct screen.

The radar map on our Weather screen now taps through to a full-screen interactive map so you can see more of the regional conditions and radar motion.
We improved compatibility with iOS' Voice Over feature to be better at reading articles out loud.
We added a share button to the Video screen so you can send video news clips via SMS, email, or on social.

A fresh session of bug squashing in this release. Please make sure automatic updates are turned on in your settings so you always get the latest builds.

Another step in making the news easier for you to access. We've packed this release full of enhancements and fixes.

-Articles now display the time and date of when the story was most-recently edited so you can tell when new information was added

-The home screen will automatically check for new stories when you return from another screen

-The app will default to a larger font size on articles if your phone settings are set for larger text

-You can now copy sentences from articles for when you want to share an important piece of news

-Fixed an issue where the app would occasionally get stuck on the launch screen

-When you submit a correction to a story, there are now clearer instructions for what to include in the email that opens

We're continuously working hard to improve your experience and get you the news you need.

Helpful enhancements and bug fixes in this version:

• Unmute video with your device's volume buttons

• Push notification enhancements to open stories natively in-app

• Faster screen load when tapping on push notifications and Breaking News alerts

• Vertically formatted images display in full rather than zooming in to fit a horizontal layout

• Fixed an issue where videos in the body of articles sometimes would not play

• Fixed duplicate thumbnail overlaying the player when video is paused

-You’re one again able to control audio on live-streaming video
-Sped up the app’s performance and screen load times
-The app launches faster now so you get to the stories more quickly
-The time stamps of stories on the home screen now show the last time each story was updated so you know how recently additional details were added
-Banished the mysterious gray box that was displaying on the Saved Stories screen
-Transformed HTML displaying in push notifications and some screens back into real readable characters
-Some videos were showing up twice on article screens – no longer
