There are literally hundreds of iPad "clock" apps ... so why make another?
Wooden Clock is an homage to a time before clocks were digital and silent - before they became an expected set of numbers on every electronic device in a home or office - a time when things moved at a different, slower pace.
The ticking of an old wooden clock is sadly something that many kids and adults have never had the opportunity to appreciate. This app humbly hopes to recreate some of the joy of old wooden clocks for those people and of course to serve as fun nostalgic app for those of us who remember them fondly.
FEATURES:
- Tells the time in old wooden clock style!
- Rich custom clock graphics
- One of the only iPad clock apps with a pendulum!
- Includes soothing ticking and hourly chime sounds
- Country skins use their national anthem for chime
- Settings allow user to toggle ticking and chimes
- Long or short chime option

A new clock has been added ... the "Sweden" clock!
While I don't know a great deal about Sweden (or Norway and Finland) I've always had an appreciation and curiosity for Scandinavian culture and history. After recently learning about the old Swedish "Mora" clock style I thought I would try to create a new clock to the app based on that. Most "Mora" clocks are tall/grandfather style clocks of course but hopefully I captured at least a little of the style and spirit of them in the new Sweden clock. For the hourly chime I couldn't find a music box version of the Swedish national anthem anywhere so I recorded my wife playing it on the piano. I'm biased of course but I think it sounds great!

A new clock has been added ... the "Germany" clock!
I've always been fond of Germany's history, cultural traditions, classical music, architecture and more - so I've added a new Germany clock to the app! As always I realize the clocks in this app are not actually from these countries but I hope people enjoy them. I think this one may be my favorite so far. Please post on the Facebook page if there's a specific type of clock (skin) you want to see in the future!

A new clock has been added ... the "Russia" clock!
After meeting a few nice people from Russia/eastern Europe this past year I got the idea to make a clock based on that region. I'm not sure if it does the people or the region justice but I gave it a shot! I hope you all enjoy. Special thanks to Nikolay for letting me bounce design ideas off him!

Another new clock has been added ... the "France" clock!
The new France clock was assembled in a quiet village off the River Meuse in 1932 by an old clockmaker who had fought in the Battle of Verdun (http://goo.gl/GwwPmB). Ok ... some or all of that may entirely be made up but we can at least pretend, d'accord? Mais oui, bien sûr! Either way I hope everyone likes the new clock!

A brand-new clock has been added ... the "Tibet" clock!
The new Tibet clock was hand-carved, assembled and painted in the majestic foothills of Mount Everest near the city of Lhasa. Ok ... actually it was all done in Photoshop and a text editor in a dark office .. but that's almost as inspiring right?! In any case I hope everyone enjoys the new clock!
