Have you ever found yourself in this scenario before, because we have!

You find yourself wanting to study but you’re all alone and some of your friends are preoccupied being basic. So you decide to go the the campus library and study but you don’t actually know anyone and you don’t want to study alone with a course from hell. What do you do?

Luckily we, the zimify team, have found a simple solution! Imagine an app where you have the option of creating your own group or join a pre-existing one. One of the many perks is that you actually don’t have to study the same subject - it can be a general match up! In the end your lonely self just wants some company. Imagine building a network anonymously, no swiping and no profile information. I know what you’re thinking, just chill and don’t be afraid, we guarantee you that all the users are only students at your university (You won’t be abducted lol).

On a serious note,
Zimify is all about finding other like minded students that can hopefully grow into beneficial and fulfilling friendships. We aim to narrow down and simplify the field of communication between students as well as bridging the gap between the virtual and real world. Zimify is created by students which makes its core concept relatable to others students.

We have updated push notifications and how the chat screen reacts to the new messages.
* Chat: new messages are highlighted to show that a message has been received,
* Chat: newest message is put at the top of the list,
* Chat: newest joined group is at the top of the list.
We also added an in-app notification that pops up when you get a message from a group, among other things.

The current release is the work accumulated over the past year. Where we have had a running pilot case in which our users got to experience Zimify. Over the past year we have been working hard on improving Zimify in terms of the user interface, user experience and the overall performance of the app.

There has been a major update of the User interface of Zimify to give the app a more inviting and intuitive user experience. Some similarities are kept for “artistic” purposes and also for the sake of familiarity.

Changes include: The entire app. just kidding, not really.

The color palette of the app has also changed to match the color palette of Zimify Group AB.

In the new update, we have moved away from a sparse UI to a more familiar and intuitive UI, such as a tab bar for easy navigation and descriptive buttons.

Since we are creatives, we can’t stop. We want to do MOAR! but after a few back and forths between being a Creative and being human, we would like to mention two of our new features and the rest you figure out for yourself.

In the home screen you can now find a display where you can add an emoji or change your emoji best fitting to how you may feel on a particular day, you can also see your friends and how many study groups you’re in.
Your zimify handle is on that display too.

There is a new addition to Zimify that we think you will enjoy. It is called Discover, it allows you to be updated with news about your university, student associations and other Academia related information.
