Are you a golfer who would like to profit from your playing partner's bad shots? If so, then this app is for you!
Zookeeper Golf is a digital scorecard for the popular golf betting game, variously known as "Animals" or "Zookeeper." In short, players acquire animals for their zoo for each bad shot they hit. For example, if "Arnie" hits into the water, he gets the frog. The frog stays in his zoo until another of your playing partners (let's say "Anika") hits into the water, at which point the frog jumps from Arnie's zoo to Anika's. Thus, each animal can only be owned by one player at a time. At the end of the round, each player owes the other players for each animal in their zoo.
Zookeeper Golf helps you keep track of who owns each animal, when (which hole) each animal entered their zoo, and will compute the damage at the end of the round. There is a complete set of rules included in the app. Best of all, the app has 27 animals in its menagerie: The nine most common bad shots (3-putts, bunkers, lost balls, etc.) are available for free. The somewhat less common ones (hitting a house, hitting a golf cart, 4-putting) can be purchased in the app. These animals reflect years of playing golf with people who aren't all that good at playing golf, and hard as it may be to believe, each animal was placed in a zoo at least once.
We at Boomhower Software are always on the lookout for new animals, and anxiously await your field reports. Contact us at
