Build language base
I’m about a month in and I’ve learned almost 200 words/phrases. I took Spanish in high school and college….28 years ago. This has been a fantastic way to brush up on old words learned and add to my vocabulary.

Needs more context
Good for building vocab. Doesn’t provide context of words which can be frustrating. I don’t always know if I’m being given a literal or direct translation or something that has the intended meaning. Adding an option to be able to view the definition of the word and maybe a few example sentences would be extremely helpful.
Perhaps my biggest gripe is I have no clue what dialect I’m learning. Vocab varies from country to country and region to region and I simply have no clue what I’m learning in that regard. I think adding country or region indicators to words if they’re specific to a place or letting people choose a country to learn from would be nice. There are also some translations that don’t quite make sense to me. For example, toilet was given as “taza del wáter”, literally cup of water. I’ve seen el váter used for toilet before, but never this. It worries me because I know there are a lot of different translations for this, and the fact I’m getting none of the usual ones is weird. It also makes me worried about whether or not I’ve been receiving less common or even inaccurate translations for other words. If it’s a a regional thing, having that clarified would be nice.

Unethical & shady
The app is a good concept, and I was excited to try it, but it’s got to be the most shady, and unethical way to sneak people into their most expensive plan. I never received the reminder notice before my card was charged, and never received a notification to “make sure your notifications are turned on for this app”. Nothing. Only to find out after the $80 whammy, that I could’ve signed up at a MUCH cheaper plan. Tried to file a dispute with Apple, tried to contact the customer service to request a refund. Nothing. Just received a reply from y’all justifying that, because I agreed to it up front, that the fact that they had a cheaper plan available (that you do NOT disclose) that they can’t do anything. Total scam. They are tricking customers and with-holding information. Whatever benefit this app offers is completely overshadowed by the deplorable business practices they are using. Apple should remove/ban them immediately for that.

Great app for vocabulary but …
Very effective app for learning new vocabulary. In two months, I have added hundreds of new words.
But this would make the app better… If it was American English. Is it British English or bad English?
If there was a way to “submit a suggestion“ because I speak Spanish very well and found several translation errors.
It would be better if the language focused on every day functional words. I found myself sorting through lots of useless vocabulary, like medieval words, and uncommonly used.
I would also like the ability to “repeat words“ on demand to have more frequent spaced repetition for the words I already learned. Not only the 20 words a day.
I purchased a two month program (glad I did), but I will not be renewing. You would’ve made more money from me if you had a simple $9 a month membership. Instead of the scamming pricing structure currently used.
But this would make the app better… If it was American English. Is it British English or bad English?

Why not duolingo?
I used this app today and I don’t know what differentiates it from Duolingo and Duolingo is free. The app itself is fine but if Duolingo is offering the same or better for free… why not duolingo?
Also, I could be wrong but I think I downloaded this app off of an ad that showed movie clips in Spanish but I have not yet encountered any of that type of activity yet. That is an activity that would differentiate it from Duolingo and maybe make it worth paying for

Not as advertised
I have zero interest in writing in Spanish. I can’t spell well in English, I have no interest in learning spelling in Spanish. I want listening and visual matching for vocabulary. But you cannot skip spelling with this app- if they left out Spelling I would continue with this but I HATE SPELLING. And spelling is NOT needed to learn a language. They advertised it a match words and pictures, would have really enjoyed that.

Great app
This is a great app; I’ve learned so many new words. However, I’d prefer to have English definitions so you could think about the translated word in Spanish. That way, it’ll help with your memory.

Nice, app. Very handy and easy format to follow and use. I am giving 4/5 stars because the spaced repetition is only available once per day. This should be available to use at all times in my opinion.
