The small, ultralight wearable allows Arccos players to capture their shot data without having to carry a phone on the course. LINK seamlessly pairs with the Arccos Caddie app and sensors. Worn on a player’s belt, waistband, or pocket, it tracks shots in real-time – including the club used and precise location – and automatically transfers the data to a player’s phone via Bluetooth, either during or after the round. This allows golfers to play the game their way, freeing them to keep their phone in a cart, bag, back pocket, or elsewhere.

Memsmah,
Really helps hone your skills, but can be glitchy
I purchased a complete set of Cobra clubs which came with the Arccos Sensors in the grips. After quick and easy install and setup with iPhone and Apple Watch, I was out playing and enjoying the product. It is amazing to start the app and play with your phone in your front pocket while the microphone and sensors in watch acknowledge when a shot is taken. Unlike, other tools like this, you do not have to input your shots or select to track them as u go around the course. The data it provides at end of round with handicaps for all aspects of your game can help fine tune where u need practice and help reduce your handicaps.
That being said, recently as others have said I have had a few frustrating rounds where it will start the round and then later when I check or go to change pin location during rounds it shows all my shots are registering to hole 4 still while I’m on hole 9. It did it while I was on Torrey Pines when I really wanted it most.
Love the app and the constant improvements. Thank you for the system and look forward to what you provide next.

Apple IOS phone app broken with Apple watch
Would be nice to use both the phone app and Apple watch at the same time. Iphone 14 and Apple watch 7. Currently the phone app does not open if you are using the watch for club tracking. I believe this was broken when they rolled out the smoke sensors, which I had purchased above and beyond and only used them once due yo all the phone app issues. You cant look at yardages to objects with the phone app if the watch is tracking. Apple watch misses too many shots. You cant edit shots as you are playing. I do like the after round analytics. That is top notch. I do like that you can set the location of the pin, on the watch. Doesn't record chip shots very well so their is skewing of some of the numbers but oddly enough you can edit the chips on the watch, if you remember to. Support is terrible. Basically fill out a survey after the round! IMO the analytics are excellent but not worth the money as this product currently stands. Too expensive for the frustration you have working out all the nuances. There are other apps that are better at club and distance tracking using the apple watch but the data analytics cant beat arccos. I wish they could get the app right with the apple watch. I would still be a customer!
Charliewhiskeytango,
Just get this!
If you are reading reviews ti see if this is worth it, let me tell you ABSOLUTELY. It has brought my handicap down so much. The club selection is always spot on. Need to know how many club wind you are playing into? Check. There’s a hazard to carry you can’t see, need ti know the yardage? Check. New course have no idea where to hit it? Check. This app does all you need it to. I’m on my 2nd year I have so much data collected. This app makes it feel like you are playing g with a real caddie. Gives you wind speed and direction. Let’s you compare your play to any handicap level. Tells you where you miss the most, the least, and what ti work in. 15/10 recommend. Some are saying having a phone in your pocket is the absolute worst. Don’t listen to those princesses. You won’t even notice it. A phone in pocket to lower your handicap by 5 a year? Yea I’ll take that deal. Dang good deal as Lt. Aldo Raines once said.
AutoForward,
Useful for in round gps, but other features not accurate enough
I bought new clubs last year with the arccos sensors so I figured I might as well try this app. The GPS is useful for getting quick distances and the “plays like” distance is reasonably accurate and useful in making quick club selections. That alone might be worth a one time $100 charge- or whatever the subscription price is. The shot detection is bad enough to make the rest of the related features (handicap, scorecard, etc) mostly useless. At the end of 18 holes its any where from 5- 25 shots off and even less accurate hole by hole. It misses at least 25% of shots so when I check the app for a distance I usually have to adjust the hole I’m playing on because it thinks I’m still playing a previous hole. There would be so much manual adjustment and entry to make things accurate it’s just not worth it. I use the watch app for the GPS, but I just use paper cards to keep score. If this app were a one time purchase, it would be worth it, as an annual subscription, it’s not. It still needs a lot of work- also it eats phone and watch battery to the point that even at 100% charge it’s a toss up whether you’ll make it through a round
Hamilton.sr71,
Don’t know who it’s for.
I’m a 12 handicap. Been using this about a year. Wanted to track how far I hit my clubs which the app does reasonably well. During a round, the app frequently misses shots/clubs, especially putts and wedges near the green. It also misses irons from the fairway and sometimes even the driver. Other times it adds shots I didn’t take, especially putts. Have to keep score on paper to double check the app which is annoying and twice the work. Doesn’t make good club recommendations. Shows your score in relation to par which would be fine maybe if you are a single digit handicap and competitive but I just want to see my number. Doesn’t seem to be a way to switch to number view. Hard to edit shot locations to refine the position of the shot because you can’t zoom in close enough to get it right. Doesn’t track shot quality so a sculled shot rates the same as a well hit shot if they go the same distance. Only tracks the first putt distance so if you leave a 30-foot putt 5-feet short but make the 2nd it’s just a 2-putt. No “attaboy “ for making knee knockers. Will be canceling my membership.
Kevin Earl federline,
Almost great but misses the mark
Almost a great product -- but consistently misses shots / puts depending on if you use the watch function or not -- So every round, I still take a score card and have to reconcile it against the app -- Really, That's not the deal breaker for me though -- it was the customer service. I tried Renewing my account out on the course and could not. It locked me out so I was not able to track a round for a tournament, it took customer service almost 2 weeks to unlock with more rounds going untracked, and then they offer literally zero service recovery for the inconvenience. Over that time I decided this was not worth my time and energy, theres a lot of other tools out there -- For being a service / subscription based company, their leadership should consider some type of service recovery as golf tools used out on the course are such a word of mouth type of referral source -- Unfortunately, I will not and would not recommend.
peng89sil,
Great app with a few issues
Overall the app is good and provides useful info to help you improve at golf. However, there are some errors that make it difficult to fully trust the system. For example, my average score on par 5s for a recent round is not correct. This is something that is easily calculable for me so I can see it is incorrect. It makes me wonder how much of the data that I can’t calculate/confirm is correct. It would be great if the app showed you the strokes gained for each shot you had during your round, instead of just the overalls. I assume they don’t because then you could calculate your overall numbers and see how everything is off. Also, while playing (and after) it would be cool to see your expected shots to hole out (for example, when 150 yards in the fairway it may say your strokes gained expected are 3.2 strokes to hole out)
Marvelous_matthew,
New version glitchy with watch
The new version has some good features but the interface with the Apple Watch is a lot worse. Setting up a round takes an age and frequently the watch and phone have sync issues. When you select a round on the watch vs phone it drains the battery extremely quickly, rarely getting past the 14th. When the battery dies the handoff is extremely clunky and most times I haven't been able to use the phone in the last few holes. Now, I only play on the phone in case it dies. When you play on the phone, maybe half the time the watch draws a blank on the yardage and reports it as zero. I've found the only way round this is to reboot the phone and the watch. Obviously this kinda screws up the round and last time I couldn't make them sync until around hole 6 or 7.

On the plus side, shot detection is for sure better. Hardware definitely better, but software defintrky needs a lot of work. Almost tempted to go and buy a rangefinder, messing around with both devices really screws up your concentration and rhythm.
J W Frank,
Great app when it works....but I almost threw my phone in a pond the other day!
I think that this is an awesome program and tool, when it works. Over the last 1.5 years it has helped me to develop more consistency with each club and develop a good understanding of how far each club “actually” goes. Lately though it seems that the app is having quite a few issues. I have had to delete the last 2 or 3 rounds that I’ve played because a few holes into the round, the arccos system will lose its way or start missing shots and when you try to edit your shots, to keep up with your round, the app starts flashing and bouncing screens worse than a flash mob at a disco!!

I play golf as a way to de-stress from work and have fun with friends but the last few rounds I have had to shut the system off mid round because I just couldn’t take its added stress anymore!! The other day I contemplated throwing my phone in the pond as I was that frustrated. I really hope they find a way to fix these issues as this could be a really great tool but we are not there yet. Good luck!
Ray&k,
Great data, when it works
The club data is awesome, but the app is clunky and glitchy, and it takes FOREVER to start up and even worse when syncing with Apple Watch. More often than not it never is ready for the first hole. You can’t start up the app while you are still warming up because it starts tracking shots. The app eats battery on iPhone XR because it REQUIRES location services to be set to “Always” and my Series 3 watch is dicey for making it through a round. Use a separate GPS or range finder if you don’t want to keep referring to your phone in the event the app drains the watch battery.

Having said all that, I renewed after the 90 day free trial, because of the shot distance/location data that it collects when everything works is eye opening. No longer fooling myself on how far (short) I really hit. We’ll see if they can improve the sync and battery issues over the next year. It won’t be the worst $100 I’ve spent on golf gadgets.
