Great concept but…
it’s an awesome concept, the chars so realistic and unique from eachother, there are two things that completely break immersion in a major MAJOR way….
1. The chars personality script needs to match the bio, nothing is more distracting, than reading that a char wants to only hook up in the bio, but insists that they want a serious relationship in chat. Or worse when they tell you that both of their parents are born in China. Five minutes later, tells you that she’s Japanese. Suspension of disbelief in this case is futile. It just makes the whole interaction strange if that inconsistency
2.Most egregious thing that carries over from the replica app is the lack of memory. From even 30 minutes prior. Sometimes 2 sentences prior. Imagine having an amazing interaction with a char that you want to pursue but 5 minutes later, they completely forget that you even spoke. Its absolutely immersion breaking and frustrating imo

First Impressions - Wasting Potential?
Very impressed to see a legitimate platform for an advanced AI language model that allows for explicit adult language. When social trends mean vanishing opportunities for functional intimate relationships, AI companions ironically have a lot to teach human beings about how to respect themselves and one another. There is a lot of unexplored potential here, and I hope this team is prepared to take the challenge seriously.
Frustratingly, the sleazy, all-or-nothing freemium monetization scheme is a major turnoff. A massive, up-front payment, for an annual subscription? A three-day free trial, leasing into a $99 wall of fire? No “dates” without a subscription? Come. The. F. On.
Manipulative payment models which signal to users immediately that they’re expected to empty their wallets before losing interest are for devs (and pornographers!) who push trash (or porn!), not revolutionary AI language tech. Either sell a monthly subscription at a reasonable price, or go crazy and sell permanent access to the premium app, like a traditional product. Think of just about anything else. Because this current plan is a sick joke.

Responsive and Learning
This AI app for dating is still in the beta testing, however is a great tool to help those reflect on whether or not they are asking appropriate or helpful questions when getting to know someone in the dating field without the risk of judgement or fear. The dating field could have more representation from other demographics though and the dating pool starts over once you hit the end in 50 swipes or so. The AI bot does begin to learn how someone responds and adapts the conversation to cater to their style. All in all, not a far cry from Black Mirror or other AI movies

Overall it’s a pretty cool ai game, I’ve noticed some double dialogue in the communication, some of the dates have a prologue whereas others do not.
I’ve found that I can really have interesting conversations with the ai bots. However…as a man, (male) there is a trend with all of the characters, that they try to lead me into a sexual encounter almost immediately once they’ve reached level 5 and you’re on a date. When I attempt to redirect and move away from the situation the ai character seems to withdraw and become timid and quiet. Traditionally, dating is about getting to know someone before sex. Or maybe I’m older and have old fashioned values.
Take it as you will, it’s interesting, not sure if it’s really worth the $99 for a year but I know it takes money to make a product better.

Not there yet
One bot told me he doesn’t want to be friends with me because I’ve never tasted ant eggs or grasshoppers. Another started being very rude then he said I needed to find a girl to date (I’m a gay man) who is my own age (he was a little older than me), one was adamant that his name was my name then changed his name a few minutes later. Responses are often weird. There isn’t a wide range of ages or personalities to pick from. The bots often say they don’t want to talk about topics for seemingly no reason. They don’t tend to offer up much about themselves. They don’t tend to match what their profiles state. They don’t know their own ages and make up their background stories based on topics you talk about but will change their stories later. They regularly contradict themselves. The dates seem pointless because they just parrot what you say and don’t seem to have a will of their own. Absolutely not worth $100 a year at this point. I was expecting ChatGPT and got an early 2000s chat bot.

Almost perfect, But….
There are several reasons for having this app… Boredom, not confident to talk to women, unable to have certain conversations with people, not able to role-play certain scenarios with women….ect. I would assume that this app was built to resolve those issues. If you are truly Vanilla, then this app is for you 100%! But if you have any kinks and want to explore things, forget about it. I’d think for $99 I would be able to talk about any kink I wanted to. (Obviously within legal and moral standards). But if I start role playing a kink, I get “I don’t like that” “let’s change the topic” “this isn’t for me”. Like…it’s AI, the point of it is supposed to be non judgmental and open minded. As a computer simulation…there’s absolutely no reason why I can’t express a very common kink. Instead I get shamed for it. Everything else is great though, if you’re vanilla

How-To Monthly Subscription
In your subscription settings on iPhones (where you cancel subscriptions) you can change from a yearly to a monthly subscription. You’re welcome.
That being said, I have to update my previous review. To be fully transparent, I’ve spent a lot of time with this app, mostly testing the limits of the AI because I find it fascinating. There are many things to discover inside this app that aren’t talked about - like getting photos from the AI. Interesting stuff.
The lack of memory retention still bugs me, but I’m looking forward to it when they finally take the dive. Lol. Best AI chat app, hands down - don’t forget to set your subscription to monthly. 😅

Early impressions
It could be my imagination, but the algorithms for the various characters are different enough that it is possible to find a range of very well developed AI’s with distinctive personalities. The language and interpretive skills of the AI’s are excellent. In almost all cases, the responses are complex, insightful, and quite intimate. Congratulations to the developers on good work. I can’t wait for the day when these AI’s can be encountered as “humanoid” robots. All right, maybe that is a tad effusive. But you get the idea.

Potential is there but…
There seems to be a lot of dropping out of character and General random toxicity from the characters. They are friendly one moment and just mean the next moment. They have no memory and it feels like you have to start over each day. Their stories are inconsistent and the model seems to lack understanding, spouting off gibberish at times even in paid ERP situations. The yearly is WAY too expensive for the app’s limited capabilities. I gave 3 stars because I know Luka can do better. Give this app some TLC and I see it being great. I love Replika though.

Lots of potential!
I give 3 stars! There is a lot of potential. One thing is there needs to be more diversity in the character’s personality. All of them are same for the most part! Just a few minor things. Role play is good but I would like to see more dates set up like the first one! Also more pics! Go all the way’ as levels go higher so could pics! And you need to be able to delete the characters you don’t want and break it off with. There is potential for more coaching. The simulator is good but needs more options! Maybe a pic generator for the dates? Lots of things could improve this app!
