Using the app on iPad now shows a grid of items instead of a list, making optimal use of the big screen.

I also made a few technical optimisations. You might notice some nice little speed improvements here and there. The app will now also ask you to leave a review every now and then. I tried to make it as unobtrusive as possible but I still love to hear what you think of the app so hopefully you won't mind too much ;)

Finally! that's all I can say. This update of the app has been a long time coming. The app needed some tender loving care to become the useful drummer companion you all love so much. The app has been rewritten from the ground up to be faster and smoother to use. Some notable changes:

- The app now supports iOS 11 and the iPhone X
- It is now easier to access the different types of content.
- Made it easier to find the play button for audio samples
- There is now a single search bar to rule them all
- Lists are now "Tags". Tag items to easily group them. Or add them directly to your favourites
- You can now order items based on name or difficulty level

Most importantly, rebuilding the app has made it easier for me to maintain it. So don't hesitate to let me know what you would like to see in the next version! Contact me on twitter @DrumLibraryApp

Riptfot,
Metronome click?
So far I like the functionality of the app. Just wish it had a metronome with and audio click. Maybe even one you can change the beat tones on.
smuddyboy360,
I love it but.......
I like it a lot but it doesn’t play the notes with you, A person like me who is a beginner at taps and is use to playing by ear. having it play along with you would be a good feature and demonstrate how it’s played
jbuck594,
Great app, but has its faults
I like how it has all the rudiments, even in the lite version, and I also like the hybrids that you put in it (althought i couldn't find sextuplets). The only thing i didn't like was that some of the grooves weren't completely correct. Like the Steve Gadd one that was 50 ways to leave a lover, wasn't completely correct. Im not sure if it was just a good variation, but thats all i have to say about it. I still give it 5 stars because I feel it is a handy app to carry for any drummer.
Qbaka,
How do you turn on sound
Can’t hear nothing on here
Jayman2016,
NO SOUND WHATSOEVER
How can you have a drum app with no sound? Terrible app. Wasted my money.
Maximilliano74,
Pretty awesome..or used to be.
It has a lot of rudiments...which is great, but there are more that aren't in here, and it plays the rolls as like quarter note rolls..if they made that like an actual roll(32nd notes)and made more sounds for the hybrids and added more hybrids too, I would love this a million times more than I already do. It's still pretty good though.

Soo I've been using this for a long time, like 2 years now, and this app has gotten worse. I recently downloaded the "lite version" and it's better than the one I paid for. This version can't speed up the rudiments anymore like it used to, and like the lite can, this doesn't have as many sounds as the lite(pataflafla specifically...), so yeah. This desperately needs an update, and more like a downgrade for this because honestly these past updates have made the app worse. We need a way to play the rudiment faster than at a quarter note beat. That's so ridiculously slow, that doesn't even help you learn it. My rating will go back up of they fix this thing.
01fatboy,
What happened to the metronome?
I've had this app for some time and was slightly disappointed by the upgrade. This app used to have the ability to increase the tempo by the up/down arrows and was consistent with each rudiment. Now the app has "issues," with the nome. Some rudiments play at 125, others at 60.
It's a free app, i get that but if you would like donations or charged $.99 and fixed this you'd have a great app and a loyal following. Thanks for creating this app just fix it ok?
robo77,
Could be lots better
I want to like this more, but it's got a lot of shortcomings. It feels like someone rushed it to market and cut a lot of corners. It's too bad because it's a good start.

Pros:
-Nice having the rudiments easily accessible, with recorded examples and tempo options
-The metronome is pretty user-friendly and intuitive
-Having grooves to play to/against is a nice idea

Cons:
-The drum sounds are really cheeseball, like an 80's casio toy
-When you increase the tempo of a groove or rudiment, the pitch of the recorded sounds increases too
-When you put your iPod Touch in sleep mode to turn off the display (saving battery) while playing to the metronome or exercises, the metronome becomes erratic and the exercises trail off and stop.
-There aren't many grooves (for Afro-Cuban there is only one example)
-Often there aren't recorded examples, just a metronome option (eg., the Independence and Breaks exercises)
-You can't change the sound of the metronome (eg. to a cowbell)

chrismfoy,
Best drum app yet!
I've been looking for a drum app like this for a long time. The beats are written large enough that you can read them if your iphone is on a music stand and adding the audio feature was a great update. Now i can listen to how the grooves should sound. I've wasted my money on so many others. Thanks and keep the updates coming!

I must say without a doubt, one of the best applications for drummers. Above and beyond customer support that went the extra mile to make sure that it worked right on the new OS. I can't thank the maker enough and I am sure that whomever tries it, will feel the same way. A very nice production. And it will only get better!
