Description

Eat Sleep is the simplest way to track your baby’s eating, sleeping, and diaper habits. It’s designed so you don’t have to mess with timers, alarms, or typing. All the important stuff can be entered with a one-finger tap. View all eat/sleep/diaper events for each day, or view the combined history of any individual activity. As you continue using the app, you’ll be able to view trends from day to day, week to week, or month to month.

Unlike some apps, Eat Sleep isn’t overflowing with features you may not need. A real, working, first-time mom helped design the app so it’s simple and easy to use. Eat Sleep tracks the information your baby’s physician cares about most without being needlessly complicated.

Eat Sleep also includes a simple note-taking feature which allows you to track special events or routines. You can also now track multiple children.

FEATURES:

Eat – Track how long your baby was breastfed and which side. You can also track the amount of formula or pumped breast milk your baby consumed.

Sleep – Simple options and no calendars to mess with. Select when your baby finished sleeping and approximately how long—the app does the rest! Intuitive menus help jog your memory and let you enter blocks of time quickly.

Diaper – Keep tabs on diaper changes and whether diapers were wet, dirty or both. This is especially important for breastfeeding moms who need to know if their baby is eating enough!

BabySync - A paid feature that allows you to back up, share, and collaborate on your child with others!

---

Eat Sleep is free but does contains ads. You can simply remove these ads while also supporting the makers of this app through an in-app purchase on the settings screen.

kilacam3,
Great idea! But...
I really do like the app, it's a great way to keep track of baby's sleep and feeding schedules. However, the sleep tracker needs to be changed. As soon as baby wakes up, I'm not going to fish for my phone to immediately select 'just woke up'. There needs to be a number dial so I can go back later and set the exact time she woke up, the exact time she fell asleep and the app calculates the amount of hours. I don't like the fell asleep after 5 and then the only option after next is 15 minutes; it screws up your whole hours/day you're trying to keep track of.
The feedings is perfect, I like that it breaks down the ounces drank by halves for if they don't finish a bottle. I think it's awesome that there's options for those who breast feed.
The app is a really great concept, but the sleep feature needs improvement.

Easy to use and straight to the point!
I got in the habit of recording my twins' feedings and changings while in the hospital. I downloaded this app to keep within the habit, and good thing I did because doctors are always wanting to know how many times they're eating, how much, how many times they're going to the bathroom. Our Twin A is still in the NICU, so we see doctors and nurses every day, and they're always asking these questions for Twin B. This app is super handy because I just need to pull up the daily review to see total # of feedings, changings, etc. and then broken down whether it was bottle or breast, how many ounces or how many minutes to breast, if it's a wet, dirty, or both diaper... it's just so awesome and straight forward. I ended up being the 99¢ for the paid version because I know I'll be using this app for quite some time.
hollymama2,
Great app, needs just a few changes to make it AMAZING!!
I love the ease of the app for diapers! Feeding needs to allow you to start the feeding and add the amount when the baby finishes without needing to go in and edit.(that is easy to forget to do). I wish most that the sleep portion was as convenient as the rest. If the sleep portion could be adjusted, this app would be amazing!! One other idea, a place to upload photos or videos. I am the Lolli (Grandma) and would love having a way to send Mommy & Daddy cute pix on occasion within the app. (Carrots on her face when she was eating lunch, playing in the sandbox, etc).
I do find the app very helpful!! Hopefully, they will make a few changes and make I even better!!

Needs improvement
I use the app exclusively for tracking sleep so I can't speak to the other components, but this part of the app is just ok. I like that the icons are easy to spot, user-friendly. My issue is there are times I don't have my phone on me so I just write down times my baby feel asleep and woke up, and the app doesn't allow for entering in exact times. In fact, the sleep tracker, unless you strictly use the "just fell asleep" and "just woke up" can be really confusing. And, the app itself doesn't always use exact times. There have been a few false starts, so to speak, when I think my little is asleep so I click on "just feel asleep" and that time is recorded correctly, but then if he wakes five minutes later and I click "just woke up" the app will mark it as a 15 minute nap.

If there was the ability to enter exact slew and awake times this app would get five stars.

Overall good app
Overall it is a good app. As new mom it helps me keep track of what time I last fed and what side I last fed on, since I can’t seem to remember anything. The one thing I dislike is that it only allows times to be chosen from five minute increments, this includes the time you started feeding, when diapers were changed, and how long you fed for; it will allow you to choose that you just finished and give you a different time but I don’t always remember to put the info in right away or I am not able to for other reasons. Sometimes my little one feeds for 7 or 8 minutes on a side and my only choices are 5 or 10 minutes which doesn’t accurately represent how long he fed; this is frustrating especially when I have doctors and lactation consultants asking about how long he eats. Otherwise it is simple and easy to use.

Made schedule tracking worse - not better
I’m pretty sure this app is no longer active, yet they continue to take payment. The app boasts that it is free, yet charges to sync your phone with your spouse, and also to get rid of ads. I paid for both yet the data never loaded for my spouses app and the ads never stopped. We emailed twice to the account listed for help and never heard back.

Also, the view is very simple, but is weirdly limited in how it operates. For example - if you forgot to put in a time (ie when baby started to sleep) and try to go back in and do it after the fact, it doesn’t always show an option for the correct time and you cannot add it manually. It also makes you do the math yourself on how long naps were before inputting. What’s the point of automating of you have to do that?

There are much better options out there than this.

Could be perfect
Please fix the sleep recording feature! It is so confusing. It would be so much simpler if I had the option to just pick a start and finish time. Apparently if you don't start the sleep timer the moment the baby falls asleep you can't go back, say 15 minutes later and write that they fell asleep at 11:15. You need to wait till they wake up and then record the start, duration and finish of the nap. I'm a sleep deprived mom of twins and I'm trying to use this app to track the naps of the babies and I can't remember when each baby went down after 2 hrs have passed. Was it 11:15? 11:51? Wait, when was baby A asleep? I usually lay them down, they fall asleep and I remember a few minutes later to record that they fell asleep. Ughhhh please simplify this.
TravelingMO,
My #1 Baby App!
I love this app. Friends recommended an Itzbean for tracking feedings, sleeping and diaper changes but I opted to find an app, and I'm so glad I did! This is a great way to track what your baby's doing and I love the full breakdown so I know how much my child has slept in a day and how many diapers in a 24 hour period (great for planning). The only change I would like to see would be in the feeding section. When selecting "pumped" it would be great if I could input my own number. With presets like 7-1/2, 15 ... you're stuck finding the closest measurement and then forced to remember. This would be a great change! Otherwise I really do love the app.
Macheface,
Descent app
This app overall is good and completely functions for what I was looking for. I do find some things within the app cumbersome. For example, if your child has been sleeping for 15 minutes before you log it and is not up yet, you can’t really log it. You would either have to say they just fell asleep and lose that time or say that it has been 15 minutes and go back and fix it when they wake up. I also don’t like that it doesn’t predict what you will click on. For example, I exclusively bottle feed and every time I have to scroll to formula. Not a big deal I realize, but annoying nonetheless. Again it is totally functional, just wish it was a bit more user friendly.
attbkta,
Overall good reviews but with some significant flaws
It does what it promises and is useful but there are some significant issues that make using this app quite inconvenient. As someone else mentioned you can only time everything in increments of 5 so if bb fed 13 min you need to pick between 10 and 15 min. A little annoying and not super accurate. I also wish you could just input the exact time you start feedings or naps. Lastly, when you note a feeding or nap, app enters that you started and stopped on separate lines, making it difficult to see at a glance exactly how many feedings/naps bb has had over the course of a day (there being twice as many entries as feedings).
