Galax Defender Hack 1.17 + Redeem Codes

The game glitches quite frequently. At the end of the round, where you’re typically guided to enter your tag for your score, it often simple stops and a tap of the screen stops the screen from moving, and you never quite get back to the menu. Or, when you are prompted to enter your initials, a single tap often skips the first initial and goes directly to the second. As mentioned by others in a previous review, the fire button does often get stuck, and captured fighters that should be returned, especially at the end of rounds, often don’t return at all. I don’t want to say that I wasted my money, because I would much rather these glitches be taken care of so that the game can be enjoyed to it’s fullest potential.

Initially I was very excited to see that the game was available and then when I downloaded it, I was really excited that it was like the original... Then I started playing it and I noticed the left/right button was not working correctly I began to notice the fire button was intermittent, I just figured it was me.... kept playing and hoping that I would get my thumbs to work right ... It wasn’t me... Unfortunately it’s the game..😞Very Buggy. This could be a really fun game if it worked as it was designed...

Now after playing game some more I found that if you play game in Wide Screen all the “bugs” I said were there... are gone! So now I have to say this is really a fun game and the only negative I can find is; that the original game had patterns that this game doesn’t... I’ll just have to play it more to figure out all the New Patterns... Great job! 👍

I truly regret buying this game. I read a few reviews prior to buying and I went ahead and bought this app anyways for the simple fact that it LOOKED like Galaga and I also figured maybe it isn’t as bad as they say it is.
Well, this is my first review, ever. That alone says a lot. About 3 seconds into the game, I start noticing how laggy this game is beginning to look. I literally fired about 3 shots before the button some how got stuck, a digital button getting stuck yea that’s weird! Well I couldn’t shoot any of the enemies anymore, and the joystick to move the fighter was too sensitive. The large green enemy came down to capture my fighter right away, so I allowed it to happen. That’s how my game ended, literally. After that my new fighter couldn’t come out, the enemies were just flying around shooting at nothing. I was definitely wrong for ignoring the previous reviews. Don’t make the same mistake as I did and don’t buy this app. I would much rather spend $10 for the original Galaga on my iPhone X (if it was available) rather than $1.99 on a lowly put together rip off game.

Arcade games weren't 'arcade' games for those of us old enough to have been introduced to them as barroom/lounge amusements....No complex social trappings, talisman hunting, just hand-eye coordination & points. It's still fun to have the original pin-ball replacements as simulacra on hand for momentary diversion. Here, Galaga is well-simulated, the original look, action & pace excellently realized. Haven't experienced any of the animation/processing glitches cited when the app was first released. There is some challenge with simulated toggle controls on recreated oldschool games on small devices, haptic issues on touchscreens, but I don't find my thumbs or indexes sliding off the button or toggle unduly on my iPads, for example, with this game.
Very playable. There might have been more electromechanical issues with the controls of the average heavily used barroom machines back in the day than with slick touchscreens...!

At the end of every game it never returns to the start menu to play another game. I have to keep rebooting my iPad just to play another game. The controls are way off and hard to control the fighter ship. The original version of the arcade game was awesome. Everything looks like the original game right down to the exact colors and shapes characters on the screen, but the controls are horrible. I’d rate it 0 Stars, but it takes me back to the memories of playing the original arcade game. This games needs a lot of work so that the player can actually control their movements and to be able to return to the start menu without rebooting your device. Until that happens I definitely do not recommend anyone buying this game. Although I bought the game, I’m deleting it. Im very disappointed in the makers of this game. You’re ripping people off!!

Lots lots better since last update. Great game to have. Still needs some work. Would like if the enemy ship could capture one of mine like in the original game so I can have two ships shooting. Also don’t like the enemy fire shoots at me sideways instead of straight down. The two chooses for controls is better, I always liked the joystick best. It works a lot better since the last update. Almost deleted the game, glad I didn’t. I suggest you go down to Walmart and buy one of the mini games of Galaga they have and make this more like that. Love that I can rapid fire now like in the original. Keep up the good updates. My favorite game of all time.

Since it’s last update the game has gotten a lot better. It’s still pretty buggy, but if these major bugs are fixed it will become my favorite game out there. Most importantly is the missiles shooting diagonally. This makes them nearly impossibly to dodge, and never happens in the original galaga. Next, is how in the first level the enemies don’t attack. Last for this list is how when you die, the game doesn’t actually stop while you respawn, in other words instead of waiting for the last enemy to go back in formation and then respawning you, the game keeps going and the enemies keep attacking instead of waiting for you to respawn.

I haven’t had any problems with this game but it’s hard to control it. (In handheld mode) Since it is a touch screen you don’t have any feel for where the control buttons are and it’s too easy to slide off them and it stops moving. In full screen mode your finger blocks the screen and when your finger gets to close to the bottom or top of the screen it again stops moving.

Request: can you make the left/right controls be controlled by the left/right tilt of the phone? Like driving a car. Also can you make the up volume button be an alternate fire button? Then you would have a feel for the button. Thanks!

An amazing feel for the old arcade games everyone wants to revisit. I haven’t experienced the bugs I’ve seen on older posts , everything is perfect except......
Come on man (developers) the game is way too heard with the split second diagonal shots from enemies! I know this is Galax Defender, not the original but, that slight difference makes the game heard to want to play as addictive as it is. Great breakthrough though!!! I hope one day, dig Doug and centipede end up available and close to this!!!

Look. I ignored everything and bought it out of desperation for a Galaga app. I was right in my decision. I noticed NONE of the issues brought up by anyone else here, so I assume they’ve been fixed. I would have rated it four stars, simply because the projectiles that enemies launch at you angle towards you you instead of going straight down like in the original Galaga. Rated five stars anyway in the hopes to convince others to buy app and support developer so he can keep improving this Galaga port. Grade: A-
